So Cold

ooc: Sorry for not posting. had a bit of a break down over the weekend. It's getting better now though.
I'll reply to everyone else tommorow, ok? sorry for the hold up

Bic: "Die Freak!" Ben yelled, spotting a girl wandering around in the city. He had spotted Kayla, but because she was wandering in the city, he had mistaken her as one of the freaks which had occupied the city. He lashed out at her when she least expected it, lunging his arm blade forward in an attempt to take her out fast. If she had truelly been a nobody, then it would definatly be wise to take her out in a sneak attack instead of head on after all.

 

Kayla jerked at the voice, and that was probably what saved her. The blade sliced into her arm, cutting deeply. Gasping in pain and shock, she grabbed her staff with the other arm and whipped it down toward his head, intending to at least knock this guy away.

 

"..Why did it have to be a place like this?".. mumbled a young man, standing out in the dunes outside of a nearby city, letting the wind brush against his face.Civilization, something he had not expected in a place like this. He'd take it, as would anyone else, as long as it meant food and shelter.

..That, and he had no idea where he was, or what he had done previously to arrive in this location. He remembered the sky growing black with a storm overhead, and screams throughout his hometown ..but then nothing else came to mind. His biggest pet peeve was not having an answer, and he wanted one.

"I won't get anywhere standing around.." letting a soft, silent sigh escape him, the young man headed off towards the city casually.

 

"Why yes, those are certainly some very interesting things that you'd wish to know, I'm sure. It is a story which can only be explained by some of the most knowledgable people in the world. Something which defies the very logic which society has based itself off of..." Toxyn said, staring at the two girls, almost as if making it more dramatic. "The story is.......not one that I know. At all. I have no idea. But what I DO know is one thing, and thats that everyone started out the same way. They ended up emerging from darkness with some sort of trait, except for one thing. As you said, as if you have no heart. It's like we're empty." He said to the two, leaning back against a wall.
"Luckily for you, that's what we're all about." Toxyn said, lowering his head, causing some of his hair to drop down infront of his eyes. A grin showed though, before he began to speak again. "Though indeed we are without emotions, we're trying to fix that. For each of us, something happend that was tragic enouph to turn us this way, but instead of being forced to live without emotions, we were given power. I believe that we were given these destructive powers for a reason. It's given us so much more. The way I see it, if we obtain more of that power, then it's obvious that we'll be able to fix things, and more.......get it?" he asked, finally allowing the two a chance to respond, his grin returning to his face. It was true, he could not feel happiness, or satisfaction, but that didn't prevent him from showing that grin. Not for a second.



Vixtra's travels had lead him to a much more desolated area. He was finally able to leave the desert, only to end up in a much harder, uncomforatable area. The ground below him was cracked and there hadn't been a sign of life.
For some reason, his katana's had dissapeared awhile ago, as if evapurating into the air itself, though it brought no interest to him in the least. He had more interest in other matters at the moment. Even though it had been true that he had not seen any life, he saw things which were much more.....interesting. Creatures made up of darkness. Every time he came near one, it seemed to dissapear, but they had caught his interest quite some bit. They seemed almost familiar even...



The pole smacked Ben in the head, his own carelessness not letting him see such a simple attack coming. As he fell to the ground though, he spun around, a blast of energy coming from one of his blades, flying straight at Kayla, while using his other arm blade to take the impact of the ground when he fell. He knew that if he did things like that often then it would most likely dull the blade. but it was worth it for now to keep himself alive.

Xiyamae noticed he was grinning and heard all he said. She walked over to the window and peered out at the city. She was amazed at how hot it was yet it felt cool in here. Soon her attention was turned towards a low thud in the distance.

"Toxic. I heard a low thud. I want to go check it out. How about you?"

She turned her head towards him but kept her eyes on the area she heard it from. She wanted to go see what was happening but didn't want get her eyes off of it.​

 

Azura could feel himself drifting in the darkness just frozen in time. His memory was slowly fading away but one thing was able to survive his hatred and thurst for revenge. Yet he could not remember what "i deserve to be surrounded by light not darkness" the blond mutterd to himself silently. When the darkness cleared he could feel the sunlight touch his face. With his eyes still closed his hand dug into the sand "sand" he said slowly oppening his eyes.

 

Skididng to the side, Kayla winced as the energy burned the skin of her arm, then held out her hand, her eyes wide. "Just stop! What do you want with me!?" she yelled. She wouldn't survive fighting this one if she didn't gain the upper hand soon.

 

Anna found herself steping away from Toxyn as he told them that they no longer had any emotions. Sure she felt empty inside...but this was all a bit too much to digust in one day. First her home is probably gone, she woke up in a strange place, and now she is being told that she has no heart? It did make sense though...

"Do you mean...there's a way to get back our hearts?" When she finished her question her head jerked up to Xiyamae's question. "What is it?" Already Anna had came to dislike the girl due to her rude greeting, so she was blaming whatever made the 'thud' noise on her despite logic.

Antlion: "Roars Deeply in Search of Prey and senses 2 wounded in the Civilization and Decides to go for them destroying building after building he appears right next to them"

 

Toxyn lifted his nose to the air, and began to sniff it for a moment. The grin dissapeared, but he still seemed to be happy about something. "Rats. They appear every once in awhile within the area. Hateful people really." toxyn said, letting out a sigh as he began to walk in the direction of the thud.
"You'll come to learn that there might be a lot of things that are different from around here then where you two are from. Tell me, have you ever been to the desert before arriving here?" he asked the two, ignoring Anna's question. A portal appeared infront of them, Toxyn obviously not wanting to have to spend the time walking there. He stopped, allowing the two to go through first. Hopefully being able to see just what it is they were capable of.

"You're one of the freaks, right? It isn't like I'm just going to let you live just so that others can I arrive" he said, preparing to lunge at her a third time, only to stop himself when the sound of a portal was heard from behind. It was a familiar sound to him by now. The darkness, making the sound of a vacuum, as if sucking up all the light around it. It disgusted him greatly. "Great, more of em." he muttered, getting into a stance, making sure that he wouldn't be taken by surprise from either side.


ooc: I'm going to have to ask that you put A LOT more effort into your post. The quotation marks are off, and well....thats not even close to a paragraugh. Not to be an ass, but I need to be strict on the matter. Please put more effort into your posts as the other rpers and myself, or else I'll have to take action...

 

Anna puffed up her cheeks when she realized that she wasn't going to get an answer. This day was only getting worse now. No heart, and basically stuck following a stranger around, hoping to get some answers. A major drag... She shook her head in frustration and crossed her arms. "Oh joy, going through a black hole. Where to this time?" She said with a sarastic and low tone as she stalked through the portal, stomping her feet with every step.

 

Kayla lay on her side, trying to breath normally. "F-freaks? I'm human....Like I t-thought you were." Her head spun, the adrenaline that once mixed with her blood slowly diluting. "What's...that?" she asked, crawling backward slightly, keeping her staff close to her.

 

Antlion: Roars next to the 2 and Starts shooting the Homing Missles while headed for them.

"Dammit. I attacked the wrong ones." Ben cursed, only to learn that it was too late. Before he knew it, he was pinned up against the wall of the building he had been doing battle by. Pressing him against it was a giant hand. An arm had appeared to have extended outward from the portal. Made up purely of darkness, claws at the ends of each finger.



"Woo. Looks like I hooked me a big one." Toxyn said, a slight chuckle escaping his lips as he helled the intruder well in place. He treated it as if it was nothing, but fact was, his arm had just covered an obviously inhuman distance, and grown in size to a size which could almost be compared to a human body, only showing a display of his power.
"Capture the other one. It'll be a fun challange for you, I'm sure. It'll teach you a few things about yourselves." Toxyn said to Xiyamae and Anna, though he was mostly focusing on Xiyamae. Though the girl had been cold to him in attitude, she had qualities that if used right, would make her a most valuable ally.

 

Xiyamae stared at the portal. She inched closer and soon walked into it. She didn't understand what Toxic meant but she decided not to worry. She just wanted to find the source of the thud.

Upon reaching the other side she saw a man against the wall. She soon grabbed her keyblade and held it to her side. She stared at the man while standing there. (OOC: she's standing sorta like sora in wisdom form) She walked closer and examined the hand. She smiled and soon threw her keyblade towards the mans head. It missed and landed in the wall.

Grabbing it, she stepped back sat on the ground. She waited patiently for Toxic to come.​

 

Kayla backed up more, trying to be quiet. She didn't know who the hell these people were, or why they were targeting them, but she didn't think she coudl fight them in her current condition, or that she would be able to even distract them for the guy to get away, and he had attacked her.....

 

Anna jumped from the sight of seeing an oversized hand flying past her. If it wasn't for the fact she already seen weird things and been surprised enough for one day she could of died from shock. Probably the fact that she didn't have any emotions helped.

"As you wish O Might One." Anna didn't bother hiding the sarasism and dislike towards 'Toxic' in her voice. Great, now I'm a kidnapper. What's next? Due to lack of caring Anna didn't bother rushing herself as she walked towards the other female. She pulled out her gun from the strap on her leg and pointed it towards her. "Please don't make me run."

 

The girl kept walking regardless of the heat and her extreme thirst for water. The heat wasn't as big of an issue to her for some reason....but she knew she had to find water sometime, or her journey would end right here. Cactus have water.....don't they? But.....I can't do anything. They're all covered in needles. Wait a minute....what's that? She had managed to walk to the edge of plateau of sorts, and saw in the distance....green. What's that green thing? It looks really far away....hmm....if I can see it clearly from this distance, it must be a huge mass of....something or other. Then again it could just be some trick of the light... She closed her eyes and opened them again. Green dot still there. Please don't be a mirage. And with that, her new plan was to go toward it.

 

Denithan's ear twitched slightly at the noise. A soft, whisper-like voice in the distance. And, considering the number of shadows that had been popping up lately, that was almost definetly the most horrid thing possible.

The issue was, what would happen if they were unarmed? The last thing they needed was yet another heartless on the loose, regardless of how powerful. What else was there to do anyway? In some self-righteous act, Benjamin would already be screaming and heading towards the voice. Perhaps, this was a case where that was the correct course of action...

So, Den ran, opting not to scream some ridiculous note, but siply hold his father's blade at the ready...

 

Standing up looking at his surroundings Zaruxa could see sand stretching out for miles. Of all places to find himself in it had to be a desert that he wonderd about. Taking an closer look the nobody could notice the tops of ancient stone structures sticking out of the sand for some reason those felt familier. "i dont know why but this place feels to filthy for me i deserve an elegant designed location not this dump" Zaruxa said silently with an hand on his chin while his other hand was resting on his side.
