So Cold

Kayla gasped, her hand gripping his, her nails digging in, trying to get free. She had a smart remark for him, but didn't have enough air to get it out. Not only couldn't she say that, she couldn't say that she couldn't really walk either. Boy was he in for a surprise.

 

"Good plan. Best of luck to you." At this point she was really hoping it would go after him, since she still didn't have that much endurance to begin with. It was amazing that she even trekked this far around in the desert to make it to these wastelands. Which really didn't make much sense at all. I should've been dead. I should be lying unconscious in the sand somewhere. Could it be that something's different about me? She was shaken out of her thoughts when she realized that the creature was just about on their heels. There's no time for such thoughts! Up ahead, they had finally made it to the forest of green. It was only a matter of deciding where to run. "See you, pal." The girl quickly ducked to the right and began running around trees and ducking under vines. Whatever happened next was up to fate.

 

Xiyamae didn't care that 'one of her kind' was killed at that she had captured all of these people. She only cared to fight and capture more. She couldn't help it.

"Should I care? All I know is that this is a world where it abides my eat or get eaten. Now, are we going to kill them because of their weakness, or set them back so that somebody else can one day?"

She looked towards the struggling girl. She soon walked towards her. She lifted the girl up while also trying to pull off Toxic.

"If you would let go, we could take her to the....Home?"

"We're in the forest?" What a dumb question. Staring idly over at Mike for just a moment, the Life's Reign slowly slid back into it's place at the back of his belt. "Be happy you seem human."
That was all Denithan had to say to this man at the moment. Whether he seemed human or not, humans had been decieved before. And even if Life's Reign was sheathed, it wouldn't take a second to have it to this man's throat. "So, care to explain why you're this far out from the village?"

 

Kayla almost laughed at the situation, if she could have. She was being held up by two people, apparently non human, who both wanted her in that portal. She was unable to move on her own, and both of these were apparently insane. Could this really get any worse?

 

Just keep running. Just keep running. Don't look back. These were the thoughts that kept repeating themselves in the girl's mind. If by some miraculous chance the thing didn't go after her, she'd still run to try and gain some distance from the thing. And if it was going after her, well....she'd just have to run a little faster. Just keep running. You're in a forest, completely defenseless. The only thing you can possibly do is run.

 

ooc: I guess. Sounds a bit like a rip from ffx-2 if I call it Home, but the idea of both Home's seems pretty similure. Right then, gonna refer to it as Home then.

Toxyn released his grip around the girl, his arm returning to its normal form, allowing the psycho chick to take care of things since he was too lazy to. "Though you might not see the purpose in them, I actually have many uses for them. They're weaker then you, yes. But none the less, numbers are important when it comes to accomplishing what I need done." he explained.
As much as he seemed to like the idea of having someone who couldn't control their will to fight, he knew that she'd be troublesome if she kept up the way she had been. It didn't take him long to realise that certain actions might be needed. Though now of course would not be the time for this..
"Bring her into the portal. We're done out here. Take her to Home and I'll handle everything else." he said. He wanted to hurry things up. He was sick of having to play leader with the serious act after all.


Vixtra sped up, splitting apart from Angel, as he began leaning towards the right, hoping that the creature would take up after him. He wanted to show this thing exsactly why not to mess with him.
Apparently though, the beast had a different idea, and instead of chasing Vixtra, it made a left, bashing right through a tree that was in its path, heading straight after Angel. It became obvious then, that the trees weren't going to be any help in keeping this freakishly large thing at bay.
Vixtra stopped in his tracks the minute he saw the bird like creature running in the other direction, and quickly began running after it instead of running away.

 

"Yes sir~" said Xiyamae while also doing a sarcastic salute to Toxic. She lifted the girl over her shoulder and soon patted the girls back as she walked away.

"We're gonna have fun with you~" she said sadistically.

Although she didn't know what they were gonna do with the girl, Xiyamae still made it seem as if they were going to do something. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't. It all depended on Toxic.

Xiyamae soon walked through the cool dark portal with the girl on her shoulder.​

 

Kayla propped her unhurt elbow on the girl's shoulder, giving herself something to prop her head on. "I'm sorry, I'm just not into girls." She murmured, watching the ground move away. As the girl stepped into the portal, it felt like her stomach dropped out, but she refused to show any weakness. Better this then that guy attacking her.

 

As soon as she heard the sound of tree branches snapping and vines breaking and basically the sounds of a bulldozer charging through at high speed behind her, she knew she was screwed. "Oh shi-!" And at just about the worse time possible she ran into a dead end. It was a giant round clearing with all exits blocked by vines far too thick to get through without a sword, or unclimbable trees who were way too close together to squeeze through. She quickly turned around watching the snakelike creature crawl slowly into the arena. With her back up against the wall, she swallowed nervously, her legs shaking a little. She was waiting for it to make its move. Even though it was pretty obvious that her chances for survival were pretty slim, and even though she she should've been feeling desperate for a way out or something, she was unnaturally calm compared to how she would've been if she had a heart. Somehow, she felt that she would live. Her story wasn't going to end just here.

 

Mike raised an eyebrow, slightly confused by what was said. If he had not known just where it was that he was in the first place, then why would he know as to why he was far away from the village, or that there even was a village in the first place.
He tilted his head to the side. "If I honostly knew what you were talking about, then I'd give you a straight up answer. But I'm not from some village. I'm from the city. Never been in the woods before neither." He said, scratching his head a little.
For a moment, he turned his head, hearing what sounded like the smashing of trees in the backround of the forest sounds.


Toxyn yawned, walking into the portal after them. "You'll be having your fun with her tommorow." he said, looking at all of the nobodies that had been defeated so easily.
He threw to Xiyamae what looked like a set of keys. "You just got here. It'd be a better idea for you to rest then to go bollistic, I can assure you." he told her. "You and uh..." he said for a second, trying to remember Anna's name. "You and the girl go lock them up. There's a floor called the "parking" floor at the bottem of Home. Lock them up there, and once someone else comes by, then ask them for your quarters. I'm tired." Toxyn said, and started walking away. Though he knew Xiyamae had craved for excitement, he required his own buissness to attend to, so he decided to leave the girl on her own to see what she'd end up doing.


Ben had laid on the floor, unconcious for the time being, a lovely blackish, purplish bruise on his head. His breathing was normal though, so he would probably just be out for a little bit.

 

Xiyamae caught the keys as Toxic walked away. She looked at him and soon decided. She will have to keep an eye on him. She needed to get more out of him and didn't want the 'Anna' girl getting in her way. She quickly closed the portal behind them. She planned to put this girl in a special area of parking and wanted her to stay away from other nobodies. This girl was special to her. It was the only human there from what she could tell.

As she walked down stairs holding the girl carefully, she soon found parking. She looked inside to see there were separate cells. It was good. She soon walked towards one all by itself and opened it. She walked inside and sat Kayla down carefully before exiting. She soon used a portal to get the others down here and away from the girl. Upon doing so, she returned and looked at her. She leaned on the bars and began to talk.

"So, what's your name? You're special to me. I'm gonna try to make this enjoyable until either you die or we kill you. I'll also bring you more food than these others. Okay?" she smilled mockingly and stood there staring.​

 

Kayla leaned against the wall, pressing her arm against the cold stone, or whatever it was. "I knew you were that type. You want to play." she sighed, thunking her head gently against the wall. "My name is Kayla. So why am I ever so special? Since you're not going to touch me."

 

Xiyamae stared at her for a second to think about what she wanted to say.

"Because I think Toxic likes you. Either that, or something else."

She shook her head as she stared at the other cells. She heard low moaning and small weeps. It didn't matter. She knew what their destinies were.

Xiyamae turned her head towards Kayla but soon scrunched over in pain. She fell onto her knees in time before hitting the cold floor. She soon was up though, as if nothing happened. She turned towards a puddle on the ground and saw that on her face, strange markings appeared. They were pointy and seemed to come from her eyes.

"Well, this is strange....Meh." she shrugged.

Whatever was going on, it didn't seem too bad.​

 

Since she was not being talked to, Anna managed to fade into the background. Not that she minded to much, but watching the other two interact made he want to strangle herself for some reason...

When they had finally turned their attention towards her again her name had already been forgotten. Nothing new, but ever so annoying. It wasn't a hard name to remember, it was only rwo syablls. Easier to remember than Xiyamae that's for sure. But she said nothing about it, just nodded when given orders and procceded with them.

When Xiyamae had left after placing Anna had gotten the keys and placed Ben into a cell far off from Kayla's. "Hmm..." She was looking in Ben's direction, but not paying him any mind due to the fact that he mind had wondered off. She turned and began to mutter to herself. "Why does all of these weird, cult things happen to me?" This was actually the first time, she just wanted to complain about everything and anything.

ooc: hmm...did I do it right? Posting style wise.

 

She blinked. Three times. "He likes me? Well that's something to be grateful for. Two psychos like me. Hallelujah." She watched the girl, opened her mouth to make a comment on the marks, then shook her head. These people were strange, very strange. She sposed as long as she got fed and had shelter out of that desert, it was okay. I wonder what happene to those guys... she mused, staring at the wall. The one that had attacked her, he was probably here somewhere. The one she had met in the desert, well....he was probably far away. Men.

ooc: Not to be a douch, but the only 2 posts you wrote, I told you wouldn't be accepted, and after that, you didn't even post. I won't lie, I'm trying to hurry shiz up so that way I can actually make things interesting, but you didn't even rp here. I'd appreciate it if you just left instead of 'getting bored' with an rp you only put 2 of what were the crappiest efforts to literature I have ever thing.

anyway, I'm sorry to say everyone, but I'm not going to be posting for awhile. I'm afraid I have a friend who was almost killed, and is going through so rough times. I'm sorry that things have been slow, but I can't focus on this and her at the same time, so I'll be back within a day or 2. again, sorry.

BIC: Exploring her room quietly, gently touching the walls, pressing her wounded parts against the cooler surface. Her leg hurt, but she made herself walk on it. She had to work past the pain, to get out of here. She didn't want to hear people die after all.
