To be honest, I've never had a problem with FFX
It's one of my favourite FFs... lol
    As for tips, just grind.
If you get stuck on a boss. Back track, and grind a bit.
Also, build up your overdrives before the boss battle. That is always a big help and key thing for any fight.

As for Seymour on Gagazet, pretty much the strategy Aqua suggested.
Take note that Seymour does banish Aeons yes, but you can still get on move off with them. So, if you also charge your Aeons overdrives before the battle, you can summon them and use their killer moves before he banishes them.
That should help you a little anyway.
So make sure to use that to your advantage too.

But if you need anything else, just ask etc. lol

Same. To be honest, FFX's gameplay kind of bored me after having random battles at every turn. And I only played the obligatory Blitzball game.

really? Blitzball was easy for me. I would always win like 6-0 or something

There's a crazy-steep learning curve until you get the chance to hire some better players. Give it a shot once you do, when you stand a fighting chance it's really addictive.

Also, make sure you get Jecht Shot, that is essential for supercheapz.

    Ilu man

Ok, here's the deal with that. You're gonna have to stop and grind every now and then. As a rule of thumb, if you can handle about six random encounters in a row without breaking a sweat, you're probably good to go. Make sure you see every kind of enemy an area has to offer, master them, get as many drops from them as you can, steal from them if you have Rikku, and generally dominate each new area before leaving, and you should be pretty well prepared for a lot of boss fights. Make sure you're grinding Tidus and Yuna, and let your style dictate your third party member; a lot of people use Rikku for support and Auron for extra power. Those four are probably gonna be your bread-winners, but don't neglect the others or you'll pay for it when their strengths are needed (and they will be).

And don't forget to use Lancet on EVERYONE. EVERY. ONE. You can get some kickass skills from some enemies. Also, on Mt. Gagazet, you can Lancet like ten abilities from the two Ronsos, so make sure you do that too.

Yes, you fight your aeons, but trust me, you don't need to worry about that. Yes, use them. Don't use them to the point of neglecting your party like I do >_>, but do use them. They can be helpful in any boss fight, but a lot of bosses have anti-summon measures, so here's what you do: Use all your summons to the point where they have their Overdrives ready, then fire them off like cannonballs and let the boss knock 'em out. If you use it at the right time, it is especially helpful against Seymour Flux's more powerful attacks.

Now, general Flux tips: You've probably noticed he alternates between Lance of Atrophy and Full-Life. There is one thing you can do, have to do, very early on, to make this part of the fight an absolute breeze. You know O'aka? That merchant who asks for donations? Give him as much as you can to keep him going. He will sell better and better stuff to you each time you meet him, and eventually, if you keep supporting him, his protege will appear somewhere on Mt. Gagazet, and you'll be able to buy Holy Waters from him! BUY AS MANY AS YOU CAN CARRY. ZOMBIE IS THE STATUS DU JOUR BASICALLY FROM SEYMOUR FLUX ONWARD. Anyway, in that fight in particular it will help. Keep at least one person Hasted so they can toss items around. Remember you can attack the Morti-thing (the target that isn't Seymour) to make it sap his life (which is only prudent/useful when using summons). Now, when you suspect he's about to bust out his blockbuster attacks, either use Protect on everyone or whip out a summon. DON'T USE YOUR OVERDRIVE UNLESS HE'S ABOUT TO ATTACK YOU, BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE AFTERWARDS. If your aeon has any attacks that give it an extra turn (NOT delay your opponent's turn, Flux is not affected by that), use them until he's ready to hit you, then fire off your Overdrive and let the aeon take the hit. Again, if you don't have any ready, you can probably survive with Protect if you're sufficiently leveled; as I recall his strongest attack hits everyone for 2500, I know I've had at least Auron at about 4,000 by that point before, so it's possible but difficult. You'll probably lose your weaker characters, just revive them quickly and get back on the offensive. The #1 thing to remember in Final Fantasy games is to mix your offense and your defense, because I cannot tell you how many times I've been one hit from killing a boss and he's kept me healing and defending upwards of ten minutes because I was too scared to let my guard down. Read his pattern and take every opportunity he gives you to strike. It's not easy, but if you level sufficiently and you have plenty of Holy Waters, it's doable.

Good luck! If you need any specific help, PM me, I've played the game through a few times and I have some experience.

All I did on Blitzball was hug the left wall with your passer, then have your shooter get from to the goal while you goat the defenders, then just have your shooter score a goal on an empty goal. :3

You can win with just the besaid team. I only use them. They're good if you take the time to train them. I always seem to leave datto behind, but his pass is really good, and when you get a good shot ability, he can become your secondary shooter. But yeah, Jecht Shot is kidna essential

Well yeah, but I wouldn't recommend it to people who are having difficulty with the game, as the Aurochs all start out at a disadvantage against the other teams, and everyone levels up at similar rates so unless you score a few key victories early on you'll be fighting uphill the whole time. For people who just wanna have fun with it, it's usually better to even the playing field with some team changes.

TBH, I was stuck in that boss too, I wanted some strategy so I asked Chris (and he suggested the same thing he just did) and beat him in no time.

But I must tell you, if you thought the game was good until now, it'll be getting better after that fight.

    Thanks everyone for the tips!
This is basically the best way to level the Aurochs, since they do start at such a disadvantage. In my original game I did recruit I believe two people, one being Wedge, and another random person--the rest was pure Aurochs. Jassu starts out pretty decent, and can take on some of the Luca Goers without leveling up.

Even if you don't win the matches, you can get a shitload of experience from them. If you're really desperate, here's a good strategy:

    1. Get the ball; if it gets handed off to the other team, just wait until it's yours.
    2. Put your movement on Manual Mode, and swim back behind Keepa (or whoever your goalie is).
    3. Wait until the opposing players move back into their starting positions.
    4. Move a little and pass like crazy between your characters.
    5. When/if the opposing team begins to come near you, just swim back behind Keepa.
    6. Repeat for 10 minutes.
Jecht Shot is a good move but Sphere Shot (which you get if you fail the Jecht Shot challenge) is also pretty excellent. Jecht Shot is nice because it eliminates defenders and boosts your SH, but Sphere Shot can really jack up your SH so that the defenders aren't as big of a deal. I'd like to have both~

Also, if you need techs, you can just collect them in Exhibition mode once you're at a decent level.

Actually, Sphere Shot is there by default, whether you get Jecht Shot or not.

And in any situation where you need to clear defenders Sphere Shot does not cut it unless Lady Luck is personally shagging you every night or you are leveled so far you're essentially Poseidon in a pond full of brine shrimp

well, I have something to looke forward to after I finish sleeping while playing, because I'm grinding on the boss right with Sin on the boat to Kilika, and I've still got a few more hours to go, because going to how many I kill never works the way I need it. I've only done it for 1 hour, that's not nearly enough. I need more than just 15 more levels after this fight

Oh was it? I just equipped Sphere Shot. But no, it's not good for defenders, but if you can get an empty goal but the goal keeper has a good CA, it's useful. Plus Jecht Shot consumes a lot of HP, as my characters are now (haven't played much yet) I can only use it once a game.
I knew about that but I did it for like 10 minutes and then got bored. :x

I just finished 3 hours of it, and I didn't get nearly as much as I thought. I only got 12 for Tidus, and the most was 20 for Lulu. I almost got her to Fira, Blizzara, Thundera, and Watera, but I didn't. And Tidus is where he always is at that point in the game. The problem with doing that is that you never have enough ability spheres. So unless you wanna miss some stuff, you have to hang back a bit anyways
