"It isn't the same." She lowers her head.
"Grandma, I have a baby sister!"

 

"I know, little one."

 

"Poor child, she loves the man who she knew as her father to find out she's not his child."
He takes a keychain out of his pocket and shows it to his sister. "Do you know what this is?"

 

She took it from him and put it in her mouth. "No, but it doesn't taste good."

 

He mentally laughs. "That helps my powers to protect this family. There's a lot more. Careful, it's pointy."
She kiss her on the forehead. "Is it alright with you we take her under our wing?"

 

She spit it out and gave it back to him. "Of course."

 

He takes it back and wipes her saliva off his blanket. "Are you hungry?"
"I'll take care of you." She turns to her husband and gestures him over.

 

"Yes." He sat down next to her.

 

"Uncle Zack, can you please give my sister the usual formula?"
He nods while still carrying his brother.
She hugs him and buries her face into his chest. "Father..."

 

He rubbed her back.

 

She quiets down until she was fast asleep.
He comes back with a bottle. "Here you go."

 

She sucked on it while holding onto it with a vine.

 

He summons his keyblade and shoots close to Zack's head while growling protectively.
"What's wrong with you Jericho?!"

 

He woke up and hissed at him. "I'm guessing it's like how you were earlier with Blossom."

 

He points it at Zack, not moving a muscle.
"Blossom was a threat to me because she's close to my age. I don't get Jericho's."

 

"I mean how you were protective to her like a mother."

 

"Sephiroth, tell your son to drop this act right now."
"It's probably older brother instinct."

 

She put a hand on his cheek. "Stop it."

 

He lowers his weapon. "Anything for you."

 

"I believe it's more than older brother protectiveness."
