He cut out another chunk and started preparing it like the other one.

 

"I don't know if it's my place to say but Lady Ronda wasn't pleased that Lady Luana is back."

 

He gave Cloud the cooked one and sat down while waiting for the other one to get done.

 

"Really? When did this happen?" She lowers her head. "For a few hours."

 

He scratched behind her ears.

 

She shies away then hides in a dark place.

 

"Why'd she do that?"

 

"She's afraid of humans touching her since she was abused by her friend's father as a pup. Took me a while for her to open up."

 

"She should know I won't hurt her, having been abused myself."

 

"But you're still human. That's what is getting in the way."

 

He punched him in the face. "Don't you dare call me that again!"

 

She wakes up, startled, then cries.
She falls asleep on the bathroom floor.
"Sorry. I'm merely speaking from a wolf's view."

 

He teleported to her and cradled her in his arms. He sat down with his back turned to him.

 

He transforms into a wolf then eats his steak.
"What's going on grandpa? Seph scared me!"

 

He wrapped his wings around himself.

 

He gives his to his mate then nuzzles her. "I'm still your friend regardless what you think of me as."
She whimpers painfully.

 

He stroked his wife's hair.

 

She stirred.
She nuzzles Seph's back.

 

He growled softly.

 

"What happened?"
"I feel... weak."
