She faces her father. "Papa, don't you remember me? It's me, Garnet."
"I'll take you to your children."

 

"Remember Nibelheim? He remembers it clear as a bell, but I can't remember it."

 

"What disturbs you the most back then? Nowadays we consider Jenova's cells a blessing."

 

"I just told you I can't remember back then. I think that incident is what's bothering him."

 

He peers into his face.

 

"What are you doing?"

 

"Tell me Sephiroth."

 

"Monsters don't talk when they don't want to."

 

She pawed his leg as she whimpers.
"So does that mean he doesn't care he brought five children here to live? She will take them away and only you can stop her."

 

"You know better than I do that I'm not a hero. I'm destined for solitude and despair."

 

She howls.
He forces Garnet to change back. "Funny, this girl believed in you to be their hero. Reject and many would cry over you."

 

"What's there to cry over? I'm a sadistic spawn of an insane scientist who's always been rejected or feared, even as a child."

 

"I can be sadistic too. Your soul cared many and brought all of us here. This is reality."

 

"And what do I get for all that work? More scars on my already beaten and bruised soul and mind."

 

"Just give this family one last chance and then we'll leave you with Grandma Jenova forever."

 

He stood up. "Fine."

 

She beams happily. "Don't hesitate to ask. By the way, I never told you my surname it is Crescent."

 

"You don't think I'd remember my family's last name, Garnet?"

 

She giggles as she hugs her father. "Just checking. Sephana is back on our bed."

 

He gently pushed her away. "No hugging, please."
