"I am Luana's pawn, not yours. Or did you forget?"
She rubs her back.

 

"Why should you be the pawn of a baby who does not even know the meaning of the word?"

 

"She'll know once she notices my behavior. In the meantime, I'm her protector."

 

"I can protect her perfectly well, thank you."

 

"Do you honestly believe a first grader can juggle raising her four siblings? Sooner or later, she'll be stressed out and asking you for help. What then for Luana?"

 

"Simple, I'll help her while caring for Luana."

 

"Garnet is possessive of you. Bringing Luana can worsen for everyone. I witnessed first-hand when I brought Blossom to you."
"And if not?"

 

"I'll help her while Luana is asleep or I'll tell her I'll be gone for awhile."

 

She shudders at the scary memory of her granddaughter.
"Either way, you are leaving her alone."

 

He hugged her tightly. "I'm sure she wouldn't mind spending some time with her mother either."

 

"Chaos."
"Correction, mortal mother."
She heard a burp then dresses herself before giving her daughter back to Mr. Crescent.

 

"Yes?" He curled up around her.

 

"Garnet scares me. I want to break them up but I don't want to hurt their feelings."
She clings tightly to her father as she falls asleep.
"Looks like she only wants to spend time with you."

 

He snarled viciously at Lucrecia mentally.

 

"I'm so sorry. I just don't see her youth spirit anymore."

 

"So what? At least she had a childhood. My youth was buried in a tiny corner of my mind when I was a child."

 

She buries her face into her husband's chest, sobbing.
He reaches out to touch his daughter's head.

 

He rubbed her back. He clawed his hand before he could reach her.

 

"I couldn't protect him... It's all my fault..."
He withdrew his hand and licks his wound. He felt pain in his chest even though he lost his heart long time ago.
