Sora's Darkness V4

He headed off to an empty room. "Well, he's only your half-brother really, but he's still family."

 

"What are half-brothers?"

 

"You have the same mother, but different fathers."

 

"Oh..."
"What are we going to do?"

 

He put up several targets. "Direct your fire towards those targets by willing it to."

 

A fire in snake form slithers around targets. He gasps.

 

"I was thinking more of a fireball, but that works too."

 

He changes the path and one by one all of them fall to the fire snake's wrath.

 

He ruffled his hair. "Good job."

 

"But... that's not me."

 

*Keeps fiddling with cracked toenail like a kid with a scab* Should I just pull it off or wait for it to grow out? It's driving me nuts.

"It's part of your power."

 

"I'm sure, papa. That's not mine. My fire isn't that color."
I'd pull it out.

 

Yeah, that's what I wanna do but my dad's telling me not to. When I was around 7 or 8, I tripped on our porch and had to eventually peel off my entire toenail. Luckily, it's only cracked about halfway down this time.

"Hm..." He looked on his back where Luana was.

 

Oh, I'd wrapped a band-aid around it.
"What are you looking at?"

 

I'm gonna press a small towel on it, knowing how much blood can gush out form under a toenail.

He gently wrapped a tentacle around Luana.

 

"I wanna know."
She hugs them.

 

He picked her up and set her into his arms next to them.

 

She didn't lift her eyelids and started to cry.
"Make it stop! Make it stop!"

 

He nuzzled her head and wrapped a tentacle around her.

 

She lowers into a quiet voice and responded back.
"Why were you looking at her?"
