"Then the seed I planted is actually growing. I'll make sure it blooms without anyone uprooting it. Though... he won't like it."

 

He narrowed his eyes at him. "You sound too much like my old man for my liking."

 

His mako blue eyes met his. "And too poetic." He added. "As long as she thinks and hates me, it will continue to water and fertilize much quicker."

 

"That's right, you had to deal with Genesis and his clones scrabbling for my cells after I was gone."

 

"It was too annoying, even in Junon."
Time flew by into two hundred years when the mortals guessed she and her master are adults. Mei finished her training with the darkness and has a devoted, unwavering loyalty to her liege. Both of them are in his room, sleeping.

 

"Two hundred years already." He muttered to himself as he walked to Luana's room with Jenova slithering by his side. "You'll learn that when you are an immortal like me, time starts to have no meaning."

 

She rests her head on his stomach while a book called LOVELESS rests on his chest with the spine open.
She slowly stirs then sits up with her muscles aching.

 

"Finally woke up, huh sleepyhead?" He said as he walked into her room with Jenova who was wearing a light blue sweater that practically blended into her skin.

 

She wasn't happy to see him at all then turns her back towards them and starts stretching herself. "Why are you even talking to me when you have Jenova to keep you company?"

 

He shrugged. "I don't know. I've been taking care of our son."

 

A scent caught her nose that has been like forever. There's three new residents since her absence and she could barely smell Malik's. "How is he anyways?"

 

"The little mini-Genesis probably fell asleep while he was reading again."

 

"Care to explain why there's a wolf in this castle?!" She said angrily.

 

"Cloud found her and Orochi took a liking to her and vice versa and she wanted him to be her master so they've been together ever since."

 

She smacks the palm of her hand against her forehead. "Separate them." She orders. "There should never be any mangy wolves near my babies!"

 

"No. If I separate them, he'll become like me at Nibelheim. She's his first friend and one of the only people he could count on for support."

 

Tears welled up in her eyes as her lower lip begins to tremble. She hugs herself as tears drop on the floor.

 

He merely watched with an emotionless expression on his face.

 

"Where's...my Malik?"

 

"Probably out slaughtering humans as usual. He rarely comes here and when he does, he stays in his room."
