He hissed at her. "You don't want me as your master anymore all because I told Cloud a harmless piece of news, so what's the point of living?!"

 

She narrows her eyes. "I don't see myself as your servant as we wanted to be. That doesn't mean you can kill yourself! Think about the future! I'd be just like your mom and follow after you!!!"

 

"I never treated you like my servant except for when my head wasn't on straight! I treat you like my friend!" He buried his face in his hands. "Everyone I care about has abandoned me except for dad and grandma."

 

She throws it away to a toxic waste bin then comes back to Orochi and gently licks him. "You still have me. Malik did warn you I have a temper but I'm never aggressive."

 

"You don't care about me either. I heard what you told Sephiroth."

 

"I do care. I was getting selfish about wanting to be loved. I envy you that your mom is alive."

 

He snorted. "'I was a fool to believe him'."

 

"I just want your love. Am I like a sister or not?"

 

He looked at her. "You are."

 

She nuzzles him, happy with the answer.

 

He wrapped his arms around her.

 

"Please don't make anymore poison. It makes me sad and scared."

 

"What about for Hades?"

 

"What about him?"

 

"I'm sure I can brew up a paralysis potion for him."

 

Mei sighs. "Ok, fine."

 

He ruffled the fur on her head before going back to his alchemy equipment.

 

"What was that for?"

 

"No reason."

 

She follows after him.
