Soul Eater- A Witch's Academy is on the Rise?

Angel had heard someone coming out of the cave, but didn't turn to meet them. All hostile enemies had been eliminated. "No. A battle would have been fun. A slaughter is not." she said without turning to Beyond. She continued to gaze sadly at nothing. Sekira would probably rather be with Colt than with her. Heh. It'd probably be for the better. After all, I'm no leader. He looks like someone capable of taking her to high places. She smiled a wry smile to herself as she smoothed some of the loose strands of her hair back, a habit of hers. "When do we leave this dump?" she asked turning to him now. As she turned to him now, she took mental notes of his description. Beyond looked fairly feminine to her. His blond hair didn't help with the picture. If she hadn't noticed the subtle bumps of muscles on his arms, she would have thought otherwise. Well...maybe she just exercises a lot. But her chest is so... and the jaw doesn't look slender and thin....yeah he's a guy. Best to assume that, than a girl. At this point, however, she might've looked like she was staring. Realizing this, she shifted her gaze to his eyes. Great. Nice going, creeper. He's totally going to think you were checking him out. Hmmm...his eyes....there's something unsettling about them. Like he's not...stable.

Nox shot out a portal trying to catch the bullets in it and create a second portal behind Kid to make him shoot himself. She then shot at Drake and Seth before closing the two portals used against Kid and creating another portal leading to the amusement park. She closed the one she used immediately afterwards and waited for Lea to show up. If she didn't, that was fine too. There were now two portals open. One in the amusement park, where Nox waited, and one slanted to the ground in the town where Kid, Seth, and Lea were with their partners. Now they can all just walk through the portal to follow her if they dared. That didn't go quite as planned. Oh, how I wish they would just cringe in fear and cowardice and just allow me to take their souls.

 

"Yeah... I think so," Maka said as she gradually sat up and rubbed her shoulder. She too made an impact to protect Koji from hurting himself. She heard him sit up on his own, coughing a little. "You okay, Koji?"

"Yeah... I'm okay." Koji was gripping his shoulder in the dark, the one that the clown slashed at earlier. He forgot that he had that wound until just now, but he decided to keep quiet about it. It would be fine. Koji blinked rapidly, trying to adjust his eyes to the darkness of the room. "It sure is dark in here."

Maka noddeed her head in agreement and looked around the room. She felt a presence in here, but it wasn't threatening at all. In fact, there were several souls she sensed in here. Hearing something or someone sniff like they were crying, Maka turned her head to look in that direction but only saw darkness. "Hello? Anyone in here?"

Zoey sat against the wall where Soul put her and stayed still as she listened to the others around her. She could also sense the souls too, but since she was still recovering from the sudden attack from Louis, she decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to use Soul Sight.

Something suddenly touched Zoey's hand, making her hold her breath for a moment. But as Zoey sat there, she realized that it was a small human hand. The girl smiled to herself as the little hand gripped her hand tighter. This wasn't a threat at all. Zoey could feel the fear vibrate through the little hand into her body. "I think we found them," Zoey said quietly. "Look by me."

A little boy sat huddled in a cage, not too far away from where Professor Stien was walking. He was softly crying to himself, scared, confused, and wanting to go home. As soon as he heard footsteps walking towards him, he quickly hushed up and looked up in fear that it could be his captor coming back for him. There where about four other cages around him, but all of those children were sleeping now. He was the only one wide awake.

"I'm looking," Black☆Star said as he positioned himself so that his back was facing Kirby's back so they could get a better angel on what they were watching for. "What the heck are those things anyways?" Black☆Star held up the ninja sword, ready for anything. He wasn't sure if he should switch weapon forms just yet... Even though he seemed a bit clueless sometimes, he proved himself to be smart on several occasions.

Grendel's hands were shaking as he waited for Terra to finish consuming the souls. He made his hands into a fist and looked the side. "I'll be okay," he said in a quiet voice. "Thank you for asking though." Grendel's ears were laying flat against his head as he looked around apprehensively. This was one feast, but it felt like scraps to him. Mostly because he was hoping that these guys could fight back, not just stand there in fear as he shredded them with Terra.

Sekira kept her eyes on Colt, watching him as he passed each thing that Sekira asked him to do. He deserved the chance to live, but that wasn't Sekira's choice at all. "No, that'll be all for now." Sekira's claws became normal fingers again as she turned from Colt and started to walk out of the cave. "Follow us... Medusa wants us to go to the amusement park," Sekira said to Colt as well as to everyone else. "She told us that there's more souls to collect there if we desire to do so." She then turned to Colt, keeping a steady gaze. "And we'll see if Medusa will accept you or not..."

 

Stein was stunned at the kids up ahead and walked up to the kid who was awake and put on a smile to comfort the boy. He kneeled down to the cage and looked at boy "don't be scared I'm here to free you. Who did this to you" Stein asked the child



Death the kid was surprised by the portal taking in his bullets and immediately got hit in the back by his own bullets and fell to his knee "d-damn" Kid muttered


"kid" Seth yelled as he watched the event take place and began to run towards Nox but luckily Drake pulled Seth back and blocked the incoming bullets with his arm which were now bladed. Once the bullets were blocked Seth continued his way to Nox but noticed she had already left. "damn it she got away" Seth said and looked over at Kid "are you alright?" Seth asked

"yes I should be fine" Kid said getting back up on his feet and began dusting off his suit and looked over at the remaining portal "she wants us to follow. It could be a trap but we have to go. We cant let her roam around freely" Kid said

 

Lea had quickly seen the portal and pushed herself away and had landed on a roof. She knelt down, turning her attention towards the direction the bullets were coming from. She perked an eyebrow, seeing Kid and Seth coming towards them. "There they are," she muttered, before feeling Nox's soul vanish from the area they were in. Decided to go somewhere else? Lea huffed out and jumped back down onto the concrete as her eyes scanned the area. Although her Soul Perception wasn't as strong, she could still feel several souls here and there. "Keep your guard up." "I know." Lea was almost tempted to go after Nox, but she knew she had to fight along side the others. She sighed out softly and looked towards Kid and Seth, soon seeing Kid get himself hurt. She quickly ran over to Kid and the other two boys, looking over her shoulder momentarily. "Are you guys okay?"

Chrona relaxed his hand as soon as Fae had flown up. His eyes followed the bird, his mind now focused on what she had just said. "The snake?" he quietly asked to no one in particular. His gaze momentarily landed onto Spirit, causing the young boy's body to stiffen once more. Chrona wasn't sure whether Maka's father yet accepted him. He did betray the DWMA and was still unsure if he was welcomed or not. His left hand still held his right arm as he looked back up at Fae. Another figured caught his attention, causing him to turn his head to see it was a woman. "Who are you?"

 

Nox looked around her quickly. She had to prepare, they'll be coming through the portal soon. Well, if they're smart, they'd let me go. But if they're smarter, they'd come after me. she reasoned, casting away the thoughts that they wouldn't bite. She jumped into a nearby game booth, a shooting game no less, and ducked behind the counter. This would be her cover for now. While waiting, Nox thought back on the skirmish, surprised that she had become quite skilled at maintaining the portals. I suppose, all it took was practice. I was too afraid to mess with it before. No sooner had this thought crossed her mind, her head began to ache painfully. She could feel her portals start to flicker and shift violently. "Gaaaaahhhhhh!" she screamed as she held her head. After screaming for around 30 seconds, the aching gradually went away, and her screaming died out. The portals stabilized once more, but Nox took heed of this. It'd be best to keep a time limit on how long she keeps portals open for.

Angel turned her head in Sekira's direction. She wondered how long it would take to get to the amusement park. An amusement park. It's been a while since I've had fun. She immediately began to recall some memories back when she was happier with her family. They had such fun. Those games were always so cheap. They never want you to win.

 

Soul wished he had a light, but he still turned to look at Zoey. Dimly he could see her silhouette and another next to her. This other was small enough to be... "A kid," Soul said quietly. "We found what we were looking for." A grin spread across his shadowed face. Going through what they had, it would have been more than disappointing to have come back empty handed.

Kirby was about to say he had no clue what the vines had been or where they'd come from, when a pink vine shot out from the shadows of a half-standing game booth. Kirby crossed his arms in an X in front of himself to block the impact. The pink vine was slimy and covered in spikes. It wrapped around Kirby's wrists and raised him into the air, pulling him back towards something even more frightening. Kirby looked down the length of the pink vine and discovered it was a tongue. A tongue, leading to what looked like a mutated venus fly trap. But it looked more interested in Kirby than flies. The spikes on the tongue dug into his bare forearms; and when Kirby looked up at his wrists, he saw his red blood dripping from the cuts and something else, a dark purple-green liquid dripping from spikes.

Merlie got to her feet, steadying herself until the ground stopped wobbling beneath her. She focused on Kirby; he was the one in danger now. These things were plants, not snakes -- she had nothing to be afraid of. She took a brief second to analyze Kirby's position and think of a way to help him. She had no weapon to cut the vines -- or tongue-- and she still wasn't back at one-hundred percent.
What can I do?! Merlie thought desperately. If she just charged in there, chances were she would get grabbed by the plant too. If she stayed put, Kirby would surely get eaten.

Kirby transformed his right forearm once again, hoping to cut the tongue that bound his wrists. Instead, his blade rubbed dangerously against his left arm. He couldn't think about that little pain now; Merlie was more important than a slight cut.
"Black☆Star! Get Merlie away from here!" Kirby yelled. "I can handle this overgrown flower!"

Like anyone could say no to me. I'd be the best they'd have. Colt thought arrogantly. He followed Sekira, musing over what they could possibly do at an amusement park when someone mentioned more souls being there. This sounded good enough for Colt. After one soul, Colt was already ready for more. They caused a new kind of hunger that was different from a hunger for food. Colt's eyes shined impiously.

OOC: Will post Spirit when I've read what's going on with him. xD Yeah... haven't been paying that close attention.

 

"Amelia. But the people at my club job call me Bunny." Bunny replied, dagger hands ready to fight Fae. She still hadn't left.
"Ooh, everyone's the same! Not all witches are evil you dolts!" With that outburst, Fae headed to the DWMA balcony. 'Hope no one's up here.' she thought with littyle enthusiasm.

 

ooc - XD I was laughing when Angel was trying to figure out whether Beyond was a female or male


"Yes, a battle would be more fun..." A smile of a madman appeared once more on the face of Beyond. "But slaughtering people will always be one of my favorite past times." He watched her curiously. If she was not like them, then why was she here? She probably wasn't the only one who minded killing, but... They always become worthless. Beyond though just as she turned and faced him. He was just about to say something more but then the voice of the weapon girl came from behind. He looked over his shoulder to look at her, ignoring the awkward stare at him by Angel. "An amusement park?" A chuckle. "I heard the souls of childern are quite good."


Terra's eyes wondered around the cave. Though it was just a cave the gang had made it into a place where they hung out, almost like a home. It was strange, the places that became home. She shook off the thought and watched Sekira walk towards the exit of the cave. "We should follow, right?" Her fingers entwined behind her back and her right ear twitches slightly. She was somewhat exicted to go to an amusement park as she has never been to one before. She would be more so exicted if it were not for soul collecting being the reason as to why they were going.

 

Maka looked over at Zoey, and could see that Soul was right. Maka then squinted her eyes, looking around the room as she saw more small shadows walking towards them. Maka smiled to herself, feeling relieved now they connected the strange occurrences at the theme park and the kidnappings together. However, her smile faded when she saw how many there were around her. "How many of you are there?" Maka asked quietly.

"About twenty of us here," a small voice of a boy pipped up. "There's more than us though."

A little girl became brave enough to go up to Soul. She stood in front of him, just looking at him. The room was becoming a little easier to see in, since the moon was almost high in the night sky. But there were still plenty of shadows within the room. The little girl looked up at Soul in awe, and then finally talked. "Are you going to take us home?" the girl asked very softly.

Zoey felt the hand leave hers for a bit, but then felt little arms wrap around her tightly. Zoey's heart melted as she realized that who ever was hugging her was really scared and needed comfort. Zoey wrapped her weak arms around the child, holding them close to her to let them know that they were safe now. The small child she was holding didn't protest, but hugged Zoey closer.

Her little bubble of happiness suddenly popped when she heard someone scream. It was feint, but she heard it. "I think we have more company above," Zoey said softly. "And they're not our ally."

The boy was shaking in the cage, still scared even though Stien told him that he was going to get him out of here. He'd been through so much, he didn't know who to trust. Plus this man had stitches and a huge screw coming out of his head. But he stuttered out an answer for the Professor anyways. "A-a really s-scary man. H-he's the o-one who brought us h-here."

"AAAAAAH!" Black☆Star jumped to Kirby's aid, slicing down on the slimy tongue and cut it in half. The man-eating plant screamed in pain and thrust his head back, not knowing what hit him. Black☆Star then turned to Kirby, his eyes where sparked and serious. "The number one rule of weapons and miesters is that the weapon is suppose be there for the miester, and the other way around." Black☆Star turned his head away from Kirby, standing in a position to get ready for the next attack from the plants. "Tsubaki and I can handle this. I'm a big star you know, and much better than you are. You can get your partner out of here."

OOC: Ouch. DX Man, being Black☆Star makes me feel like a jerk. T_T

Grendel nodded his head to Terra's hint, and then followed Sekira out of the cave where carnage was all around. Grendel could see everyone's excitement in their eyes as Sekira mentioned the amusement park, but Grendel knew what she was talking about. It wasn't like the ones they all pictured in their heads. Not wanting to ruin their happiness, Grendel looked down at the ground and scuffed his right foot against the dirt while waiting for the order to go and collect the souls.

Sekira looked over at Beyond, taking his morbid comment as just something normal. "We don't know what kind of souls they are. Medusa said that an ally of ours went through the hard work collecting them though, and he's waiting for us there." The demon weapon then started to walk away from everyone else, expecting them to follow. "Let's go, it's not too far away from this area."

Louis was hiding outside of the Fun House. He had escaped before Stien or anybody else found him, and was desperately trying to reach Medusa. He pulled out an orb that had a little snake in it, and tried to reach Medusa. "Lady Medusa, the DWMA brats finally found out about me. They've destroyed all of the clowns, three of them are struggling with the plants, but Stien and Maka and some other new students got into the Fun House. What am I suppose to do now?"

"We can handle it though! Right, Kid?" Patty was trying to keep Kid's spirit up since he just got shot by one of his own bullets. Patty knew it wasn't a a real bullet, plus he was the son of a shiagami, so she knew he was okay physically.

 

Yeah well, the picture was questionable. XD

BIC- Angel twitched when she saw Beyond's smile and how he felt about the massacre. She twitched a little more sporadically when he described how the souls of kids tasted. For a moment, Angel's eyes grew big and dark as a small fit of insanity took over her. Then it quickly went away as she resumed control of herself and began coughing somewhat violently. When she stopped, she took a breath and gripped the handle of her sword in its sheath. Man, it's never been this bad before. It must be from the influence of all these other people and their insanities. Ugh...Sekira seems to be the most calm though. And I, myself am so unstable.

Aspera had taken her schedule and did all the things that a weapon should do during orientation. She had no partner yet, but she was certain that such a problem would be remedied quickly, as there seemed to be more meisters than weapons. Well, here I am. Going to save the world and be a hero. I'll do it myself.

Beyond frowned at Sekira's reaction. It was so emotionless and boring. He sighed inwardily and followed after her. He then heard Angel's coughing. She interests me... I shall keep an eye on her.

Terra now stood before the amusement park in question. It looked a lot more dark and forbidding than the pictures she had seen before in books and on TV. To say she was disappointed would of been an understatement. She simply stared down to the ground and tried to hide her feelings, though sure Grendel would of picked up on them. He always did and for that she was thankful, if not a little embarassed. Terra looked back up to the park and then to her partner with a slightly forced smile. "Well then, let's go in."

 

Yuki saw that nobody heard him and that everything semed to be under control and (after much, much walking) made it inside. He quickly headed back into the auditorium and took a seat (again) by his favorite wall. Yuki looked back to Sid and noticed a girl that seemed...familiar. He never met her before but something about her made him feel like he has known her for years. He stared at her calmly (not like a major stalker though lol). 'Who is she?' Yuki thought.

 

Aspera walked towards the back of the auditorium, closer to the door. She wondered when they would get rooms and practice, take classes, and such. As she loitered near the door, she gazed around the auditorium, trying to see if anyone caught her interest. Suddenly, she noticed a boy not too far away from her, staring at her. Aspera raised her eyebrows at the question of why this boy would be interested in her. His badge indicates he's a meister. Could he be looking for a partner? Or is he just infatuated with me? Aspera laughed at herself for thinking such a thing. She closed her eyes and smiled a small smile as she remarked to the boy,"Nice hat."

 

Yuki saw the girl approach him. "Thank you," he replied, returning her soft smile. "Seat?" he asked, his hands directed to the empty spot on the wall next to him. He noticed that she had a Weapon Badge. 'Could this be my partner?' He asked his mind. He was so excited it was practically flowing out of his ears. Yuki couldn't wait to find out.

Aspera tensed as he invited her to sit by him. Then she relaxed as he was trying to be cordial and went to the seat. The boy was very young in her eyes. She wondered why he wanted to do something so dangerous at such a young age. Well, I'm not that old either. So I guess I shouldn't think like that. "So you're a meister, eh?" she asked, trying to start a conversation and possibly make a new friend. Aspera immediately made observations of the boy, trying to remember him so as to help him out later and protect him if need be. Uh, wait. Why am I thinking like this? If he's here, he can obviously defend himself. Or flee. She couldn't understand this strange mothering instinct she now had for this boy. Aspera wanted to protect him. She wanted to comfort him when he was unhappy, care for him to make him happy, and help him become so strong that he will rival one of the best fighters in the academy. However, she said nothing about these feelings. She was a tool after all, and if he didn't want her to be his weapon, he didn't have to have her.

 

"Yeah," Yuki answered, nodding. "So that means you must a Weapon. Correct?" He had a childish smirk of joy on his face. He liked talking with this girl (even though the conversation just started). She looked about 15 or 16 to Yuki, while he was only 13. He sensed that her soul was on a very similar soul wavelength as his. His smirked turned to a grin, and the grin grew. "I want you to be my Partner," he accidently said outloud. Yuki covered his mouth like a child would, hoping to "grab" the comment back. His turned a light shade of rose red and turned his whole body away from the girl. 'Why did I say that?' He thought. 'I don't even know her name!'

 

Aspera's eyes widened in surprise at the abrupt comment. It appeared that the boy felt about the same way she did. She recovered and smiled at his embarrassment. "I accept. I'm so happy that you feel the same way. I look forward to working with you." she said as she held out her hand to shake. "My name is Aspera. I swear to you now, that I will protect you, help you, care for you as best I can." she stated as she stood up and knelt to him with her head bowed. This may have been a little over the top, but this was how she truly felt.

 

Yuki slowly turned himself around. "Really?" He asked. He smiled the biggest smile ever. He tried to conceal his pure bliss inside of him. When he got control of himself again, he shook her hand, and he politely said, "Nice to meet you Aspera! I'm Yuki, Yuki Sukigami!" When he said his name, his tone changed back an excitement little kid kind of tone, kind of like when you were little and you got that firetruck you always wanted (oh wait, that was me! XD). Yuki couldn't hold it in anymore, he was going to burst. He hugged Aspera tightly; another one of his problems. When he got really excited or happy, he would share it with others; recently it was hugs. Yuki realized what he just did and quickly released his grip. He didn't want to creep out his new Partner after only about a minute or so.

 

Aspera was a little taken aback by his hug. There have been very few times in her life where she has been hugged. She was about to hug Yuki back, but then he pulled away. "It's quite all right,Yuki, was it? It's fine." Aspera said with a happy grin. She had a partner now. Someone to serve, someone to protect, someone to care for. "Now. On to business. Try holding me and see if we're a match, not that I doubt it, but it's also a good chance to see what weapon I am." she said as she promptly turned into a rapier, laying on the arms of the auditorium seats.

 

Yuki nodded and picked up Aspera with his right hand. He was so excited. This was the first time he had a Weapon, let alone hold his Weapon. "You're a cool sword!" Yuki said to her. "How ya feeling?" He was tempted to swing her around gently but decided it wasn't the time or place; then temptation took over. Yuki took a few gentle swishes and swings to get used to Aspera.
