Yeah, I second that, and don't use gameshark, it messed gold up for me. I was into silver more though.

 

Really? So all of the ugly pokemon and attempted deep meaning that they put in their new games didn't destroy the simple fun training of cool/adorable monsters to be the Pokemon Master?​

No. You're just not trying hard enough to enjoy it because they're not the games you grew up with.

Actually, I very much enjoy the games. I just use my favorite pokemon, and not the new ones.​

 

Then why so dramatic? :\ Gamefreak hasn't ruined a thing. If anything, they're just trying to keep the series fresh. And the new Pokemon are not that bad, they just take some getting used to. Actually, the newer generations are specifically engineered to give you more specialized attack options and strategies, so they can be a lot more fun to play if you give 'em a shot.

Which is what I don't like. There's too many types, type advantages/disadvantages, and too many type mixes. It's pointless and confusing. And I miss Team Rocket. And Dragonite.​

 

Debating, sir.

(1) It's not confusing if you invest some time in it. And if you don't, it's pretty obvious, for example, that Salamence is better at the smashy-smashy and Dragonite is better for the takey-hurty.
(2) Team Rocket is back. Can't complain about that anymore.
(3) Dragonite never left. <3

I actually meant that the confusing part was that now I can't tell what type a pokemon is by the way it looks. ​

 

HeartGold/SoulSilver. Which is arguably probably definitely the best Pokemon game evar.

Well, I was looking at this pokemon, one of the Sinnoh starters, and it looked like a grass type, but it was also(I believe) steel type. This I thought was very strange.​

yeap i was paying attention but this whole "new Pokemon suck" attitude makes you seem as if you don't.

I guess because they wanted to screw Torterra's high defenses with a x4 weakness to ice and flying type Pokemon? I still like the Turtwig line though :P

 

I just don't like them as much as the old ones. D: I miss your main objective being 'To become the Pokemon Master' 8D
