Judging by the fact im gonna be using the classic NES looking controller (for more of a challenge since I've mastered the gamecube one) I wont be playing online until I have become a pro with atleast 5 characters.

In Melee I was good with.

    Zelda/Shiek
    Catain falcon
    Samus
    Ness
    Pikachu
    Roy
    Marth
Mario (Which made me naturaly good with Dr Mario)

What controllers do the rest of you plan on using? I know Jube is using the NES one. xD Which is...weird.

I plan on either 1) NES or 2) Wii mote (tilted).

And if I have money, I'll try the Gamecube controller (I don't have one so yeah...)

The Wii one seems to akward.

And the Gamecube one would make it to easy.

    A+< or >

It's very obvious that's still the smash. Unless they decide to do it another way...in which case I'll be sad.

    Good question.

    You mean the L/R+Left/Right thing?

I really don't know. I have a feeling they changed it so the B on the Wii-mote is now the L/R. It would make sense since the B button is in the back this time.

I have no idea how they plan to make Brawl work with only the Wiimote.

As for the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo, I would imagine sidestepping as down/up + Z on the nunchuk.

Smash attacks (if they really wanted to incoporate hand movements) would be to use the directional on the nunchuk, and a swift motion with the wiimote in the direction of the smash (i.e. quick motion to the right for forward smash if facing right, quick motion up for upsmash, quick motion down for downsmash, etc.)

As for myself, I'm gonna gamecube controller it up. Too usedd to it by now.

How do they expect people to wavedash with the Wiimote & Wiimote/Nunchuk.

lol @ Strategy guide. At most, it'll be useful for those ambiguous adventure stuff that probably no normal human being can think of off the bat. But in terms of how to play, the most they'll probably teach you is how to smash attack and stuff and generic strategies on how to fight each character. I read Fox's description on the smash bros site.. very vague. Ken, Isai, PCChris and Bombsoldier should write a book. I'd love to read that one.

Which is why they've decided to also make the GameCube controller usable in the game. ^-^

It's going to be confusing though, especially since using the Wii is supposed to be more of the "better" way in my opinion, since the game is on the Wii.

    haha.

I use guides SOMEtimes. Like for KH2, I bought the guide.

Though I didn't use it the first time i beat the game. It was only until after I beat it once that i decied to use it for extra's.

The fighting system was more or less designed for GC controllers initially, though. Sakurai originally intended the game to be played with GC controllers only, but added playability with Wii controls just because it was probably for the best to make it versatile because of what you said, it's a Wii title. However, that doesn't mean the Wii controls are better when it was being designed to fit Gamecube controls.

I'm pretty sure all Smash bros vets will be playing at a relatively high level when they first play Brawl with their GC controllers, and will slowly work through the new kinks and adjust to it.

    I agree.

I have a feeling it'll be just like the GC SSB only everyone is gonna get a lot better and it's gonna be a lot more popular.

Ironically, I have an even greater feeling some people are gonna leave it too. I mean it's obvious some people aren't gonna like the new system.

    Who would ever think like that is beyond me. <_<;

But the game does not run on motion sensitivity. Only a few mini games on it.
