Zelda's Down+B hasn't been shown, and she wasn't playable in the Demo, most likely to avoid people checking if she's still tied to Sheik

    Can you rephrase/elaborate on that?

Bleh. Should've known. From what I see in the veido however, then game doesnot looked like it has changed much so I'm happy about that. Sadly though the camera was a tad far away so I couldn't get that close up veiw I'd hoped for as well as the Metaknight player wasn't all that great either.

Technics were the glitches or "exploits" in the game that let you do certain things that couldn't normally be done for instance: wavedashing, waveshing, L-cancel, jump cancels, edge cancels, etc. The list goes on. I'm really hoping for the five I mentioned a few more.

1up tried Wavedashing and L-Cancelling and they said that neither worked when they tried, which also cancels out Waveshining (Plus, I mean, no one that attended the event seemed to even want to play Fox o-0). Short-hopping is back, obviously, but I think L-canceling and Wavedashing are really the big 2 they wanted to test so I don't think they tried any of the cancels

Is it me, or does Ike look remarkably slow in gameplay?

Actually, I'm not surprised. He has that huge-*** sword he lugs around, so of course he'd be slow.

    Still... disappointment. ):

That worries me, and I'm sure that worries a crap load of smashers out there too. As great as the game is, I'm going to be somewhat disappointed if those don't carry over to Brawl.

But I do understand advanced techs can be somewhat conflicting with online play, but it still urks me somewhat.

In my opinion he looked decent in terms or speed faster then roy slower the marth. and his attack from what I saw were well balanced. A good sword weilding character.

The reason I would say that it might have been taken out is that fact that it is indeed a glicth, but at the same time all that work alot of people have put into technics is really going to hurt the smash community. I'm not saying it will hurt the game, but alot of people are going to be sad about it.

Well, wavedash aside, L-cancels have been around since SSB, so it's hard for me to consider that a glitch, so L-cancels not working in Brawl confuses me slightly. L-cancels and short-hops go hand in hand, so it's quite sad to see the L-cancel absent in the Brawl gameplay thus far.

Hopefully then the only reason it's not in yet is that the L-cancel will be more of an in game feature rather then an exploit.

Also, the press attending the Nintendo Summit is more of a casual aduience, so they're not really going to test out anything as thorough as the Smash audience really wants, so on October 18th we'll definately get so much more impressions and hands-on details of every bit that's packed in that Demo

Well hey, all the more reason to get better. I'm sure there's going to be some new kind of technique anyway. xD

I know this is probably not what you meant, but most people who have learned technics aren't **** without them.

That doesn't change the fact it will either 1) inspire them to learn new techniques, or 2) To just do with what they got and not play pro anymore (unless it's like the 1st situation in which they are inspired and would much rather try).

And of course they aren't **** without them. Hell, I never ever used those techniques, and from what I could tell I was really good and played it non-stop for about 4 years. I even attended a tournament here in Madison and placed 3rd. =/ And about 40 people went.

But that means nothing, as I can't say if any of them were pro's. xD

I guess you're right, but it'll be a big step. I mean I'm alright good without either way. Dunno mabey it'll feel like a waste or something.

But I don't think L-cancel was a glitch. If I recall correctly, only the wavedash was considered a glitch by developers (some remnant programming when they created the air-dodge). L-cancels were around since SSB, and carried over to SSBM, and not once do I remember them referring to it as one (please correct me if there is a source on this matter).

I think you're expanding the list too widely. I don't consider Jump cancels glitches either, these were possible since SSB as well. Consider them more like a means of expanding on a system in a way that makes it more efficient for the person using it.

Well the Smash boards already consider Miis as unplayable, because you use them as icons during Wi-Fi play, rather as an actual character. So I think the Animal Crossing character has a slightly higher chance, considering it even has a stage after it.

I think he means in body structure

Since they put Dr. Mario, Pichu, and Mr. Game & Watch in the game, I believe anything is possible :<

    Well no game is perfect.
But it has to and will last us years before the next sequel.

Am I the only one who lives and breathes the desire of wanting a Smash Bros. game for the DS + Wi-Fi?

No problem. Sorry if I was a bit strong XD

Ummm well I disagree, especially after seeing this video:

Muffin, do you have a source from 1up that says they tried wavedashes and L-cancels and failed? I'd like to see it. ._.
