    Time is over...
Where we could simply say, "I love you",
    Now you open the door.
    Leave me crying,
    Trying to embrace you again,
Trying to face this damn situation,
    Man I can't...

    It's the end,
    Friend of mine.
    It's the end,
    Sweet friend of mine.

You won't lose us forever. My Segway brigade is already on course for the Capitol building.

    Aww, poor thing~

    Do you need a hug?
    -hugs-

America has made teenage girls cry. When did the government turn into a snobbish, pre-pubescent male?

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

We'll all just riot and protest until the situation is rectified. I doubt very many Americans will stand for it, so regardless.

Watch the place you work for take losses once their site goes down.

Or perhaps without the internet, you will have little reason to have a job.

    Where do you work?

This bill won't pass. If it does, it will be vetoed.

My workplace doesn't even have a website nor do we have internet access.

I work for the grocery store that my parents own. At this point, I'm probably going to inherit the business.

    Its not going through.
Funfact; even if it did go through, people would act out physically, and anon would react with such brute force digitally, it would be forced to be withdrawn.

The thing I find really hilarious about this bill, not including the complete defiance of the Constitution, is how odd it is for Republicans to support it. Basically, no one person or entity "owns" the internet. There are the hosting companies, that own the servers & such that sites are hosted on and the ISPs that provide access to these servers, through interconnected routers. The internet truly is privately owned.

However, this legislation is a government intrusion upon said private ownership and control. Mainstream Republicanism these days has a very "keep your hands off my business, American government."

it's just really funny to me, lol. Kudos to Obama for being all "I'mma veto dat **** so quickly." And yes, the House could turn down a veto with a 2/3 majority, but a 2/3 majority can be ridiculously difficult to get, especially with the animosity between political parties--usually, if Dems are in favor of something, Republicans will just side against it for the sake of siding against it, and if Republicans are in favor of something, Dems will just side against it for the sake of siding against it. So I doubt they'd be able to work up a 2/3 majority. For once partisan politics work in our favor.

Dammit. Now I have to think of something else to protest before my Segway brigade gets to DC.

I know the thread has moved on but I wanted to bring up that you just made that sound far easier than it actually is.
