It's called 'Burn Notice', a new show on USA. To better explain, let me ask you this question: How do you think spies get fired from their jobs?

 

When they let someone know they're a spy? >>

 

Heh, nope. When a spy is fired, he/she doesn't get a letter from HQ letting them know. Instead, they're 'blacklisted': Whatever money they have in their bank accounts are frozen, they have no job history, and they're stuck in whatever city the government has decided to dump them in. They're 'burned'. Such is the case for Michael Weston. Problem is, he's been framed...

He's been dumped in Miami, and he has to rely on whatever he can (by doing odd jobs, like being a private-eye), and whoever is still talking to him: In this case, a trigger happy ex-girlfriend who's motto is, basically, 'ammunition is cheap'; an ex-Navy Seal, who's turned into an alcoholic, and used to report Michael to the Feds. Family also (if you're desperate): His mother, who is a chain-smoking, hypochondriac, who more or less denies any violence that has happened in their family (especially from the abusive, deceased father), and the compulsive, gambling brother. Bottom line, until Michael finds out who authorized the burn notice on him, and framed him: He's not going anywhere.

I love the show. It's going into it's second season, and it uses real facts and techniques for the shows.
