| The Awakened |

"Impressive" Crystal commented, before crouching down and crawling under. As she reached the bottom of closed door behind the sign, she pushed on it. It didn't budge. She frowned, hoping it wasn't locked. She pushed on it harder, thinking if it didn't move she'd have to try and phase though and open it from the inside, though after phasing so much earlier, she wasn't sure she could. To her immense relief, this time the door opened, it had just been jammed. She went though and into the dark room inside and shouted back, being careful not to be too loud, "Your turn"

 

Shortly after the male horsemen walked away she heard the female mutter something that sound like an insult before moving on as well. She stayed completely still for a few more moments before slowly standing up. It wasn't safe here, there were too many people. She quickly found the back door to the apartment building and crept out into the alleyway. It sounds as if people were fighting in one direction so she headed the other way. Whenever she thought she heard even the faintest noise she would hide behind the nearest object, which usually was a trash can of some sort, and waited more time than needed before moving on again. Soon she found the building which she had been taking shelter in for the past few days. It seemed perfect and was untouched for the most part, and even better the front door was blocked. The only way she knew in was through a very tiny hole in the back wall, accessable through the alleys. Thanks to it she was able to avoid going into the main streets. Karen pushed her bag in first before she slipped inside herself. The place was utterly dark as well, and though that meant she could barely see, it was another bonus this place had offered. Plus...something about this nightclub felt fimilar to her. Perhaps she was here once upon a time before this mess of fighting... If there was such a time.

Risiel had quickly spun around and looked up at the sound of electricity nearby. Surprised with the sudden appearance of a Horseman, the young girl took a few steps back, wanting to avoid some of the attacks that the others had tried throwing at the newcomer. We have to get out of here! She didn't know how to fight and the powers she found out she had not too long ago weren't something of use when it came to fighting. Her eyes grew wide at the sight of several dead bodies rising from the ground, clearly something she had never seen before. "W-What the hell...?!" I didn't even know that was possible! She chewed on her bottom lip, wondering if she should just run away or to stay and try to fight against the Horseman.

Crystal raised her eyebrows, "I'll try too. Close one but we're in now, hopefully we'll be safe here for a bit" She closed the door behind them and the lock still seemed to be working, so she locked it. Though with the sign blocking the door, she doubted it was needed. She then turned her attention to the room, however she couldn't see much in the gloom. "Should we find some light? Or even with no windows would that give us away?" She asked Aiden, "If we want light do you think the lights'll still work? Although, even if they do finding the switch may be a challenge" Her eyes scanned the room, becoming more used to the darkness.

 

Marcus ducked under another punch from the zombies. "Either fight or flight! Whatever the choice is,make it now!" he yells.

 

Not here too... Karen could hear the voices from the moment she entered on to the dance floor. They were near the enterance so she bet they couldn't see her from the other side of the building, but she still was careful. They didn't sound military at all, but who knows how undercover they would go to weed out all the remaining people. Either way... "Hello?" Karen said as she walked over towards them. They were already here, in her hiding spot, plus if shot she'd just heal as she fled.

 

Crystal froze, cursing silently as she heard someone else. Was nowhere safe now? She glanced at Aiden unsure what to do, they couldn't exactly quickly go back they way they'd come in. She just stared into the gloom trying to see who it was, to no avail. She just hoped with all her heart they weren't military or worse because if they were, she really didn't know how they were going to get out of this one. They didn't sound like military but that didn't mean they weren't, her mind still searched for a way out. In this darkness they probably couldn't see them either, but they could hear them, could they slip past?

Daniel quickly landed and spun around, his right knee raised so his shin could push the Horseman's fist away...but the Horseman was launched in the air. "What the-" Daniel instead ended up doing a complete spin, losing his balance. "What was that?" He asked to no one in particular as he looked in the air. "Whatever," he ran around the pillar of cement and started to run at normal speed. He would give it until he reached a corner before escaping.

 

While walking around Leon could hear sounds that sounded vaguely like people. Whoever they are and whatever they are doing where too close, giving the circumstances of the events that had passed and the bizarre strength he felt he had gained he believed it was best to keep his distance from others for as long as possible, Who knows what crazy things could happen now, he thought as he flicked away the remains of his cigarette accidentally launching it across the street.

 

Karen examined the two figures and heard the one that spoke was male. Two against one... Well, she still could fake a death. "Yes, or at least I am according to the guys in uniforms wanting to take me in for whatever reasons." She walked over to the side where there was a VIP lounge. In this small opening in the wall there were chairs in a half circle around a small table. She kicked its leg, pressing a small switch, and small lights came on. She had covered them in plastic to dim their glow and to further hide their presence from anyone entering the building they were placed under the table, with a car's battery on the floor that was also under the table and gave them life. She had no personal memories yet she remembered all of these tricks. Guess I should consider myself lucky... "Karen Winter is my name. So, care to sit down and talk? You do sound a bit tired so the rest could do you good, and never know what might happen around here so might as well do so while you can." She continued to stand, looking in the direction of the two newcomers.

Emilia was feeling rather satisfied with her work as the Awakened began to make his getaway. She watched with awe as the Horseman landed perfectly on his feet, the ground cracking as he landed. Knowing the power the man must hold, she began to wonder just what she was being thrown into. She took another deep breath as she saw the Horseman running after the Awakened. She held her arms out straight, angled downwards, with her palms facing the ground. Mentally judging how fast the Horseman was running, she brought her arms up, feeling the power that she was using on the earth, and in the Horseman's path quickly rose a makeshift wall made of earth and cement. She knew with his power she couldn't stop him completely, but she only hoped to slow him down enough to buy the Awakened time to escape.

 

Crystal glanced at Aiden, still unsure if they should trust this girl but she still wandered slowly towards her. Although the girl seemed to know what she was doing so if she was on their side she could be useful. "Hello" She said quietly to Karen, she did not sit down straight away. Although she was aware of her leg still hurting and she knew she really should check on the wound. She looked curiously at the red haired girl and then at the lights she had managed to somehow turn on.

 

Daniel wasn't sure what was going on. He could only assume there was another Awakened helping him, but where the Awakened was, he didn't know. He started to pick up speed, pushing more and more strength into his legs. He approached a corner and turned once he reached it. He leaped forward, using a building's cover to hide himself. The moment he passed the building and the Horseman shouldn't have been able to see him anymore, Daniel became invisible. He then used the strength building up in his legs to jump onto a fire escape, the metal creaking beneath his feet. Now...I just wait for Lancelot to leave and I can find whoever's helping me, he thought as he held on to the metal railing of the rusted fire escape, still invisible to the naked eye.

 

Karen sighed as neither of them told her their name and would not sit down. She was rather hoping to be the last to do so, but matters did not permit such. So she sat down on the seat nearest the opening and crossed her legs after doing so. "Thank you. It may be a temporary spot, but I did make sure to put a lot of thought into everything I do."

 

Crystal smiled slightly and glanced briefly at Aiden before sitting down. "It's good" She looked down at her leg as slowly began to remove the blood stained fabric from her wound, wincing slightly as she did. The hole where the bullet had peirced her skin didn't look too bad to say she'd been running but she knew she would have to replace the fabric. She would of liked to clean the wound and disinfect it but given the circumstances, she would just have to do the best with what she had. She looked up at Karen, the girl did not seem like she would betray them, she just hoped that her apperence was not deceptive. "I'm Crystal by the way" She said, still quite quietly. They knew her name, so she figured that if they were going to trust her, she at least deserved to know that much.
