The Awakened

"now you shall burn" The man said as he lowered the tourch on the straw. The crowd started to cheer

 

A saddened gaze was clear in Lorelei's eyes as she looked at the now burning inferno around her, all she could see were images of the past, the lives she tore apart "This...is really the end" she cried out

 

A great anger and power built up in Shun as he watched the fire

 

"NO" screamed Dawn, she was angry of how people could do this

Lorelei lost consciousness due to the high fumes of smoke, before she passed out, she whispered "shun...im sorry"

 

Just then Shun's eyes glowed red and the chains binding him and the others broke and he charged at Lorelei and cut the rope that tied her to the pole and grabed her and ran

 

Dawn, without a second thought, followed closely behind her brother. As they ran she looked concerned at Lorelei, she had breathed in alot of smoke.

 

Nova followed

the villagers charged after them but then Shun teleported away into a forrest. Shun held Lorelei in his arms as tears fell down his face "please don't die" Shun said

 

Since Dawn and Nova were yet toget their powers back, they hid in the forest away from the villagers "That was close" she sighed


Lorelei remained unconscious with a slow heartbeat

 

Shun continued to hold her tightly and cry

 

"I wonder if loreleis ok" whispered Dawn to Nova


Lorelei suddenly started coughing, she opened her eyes as tears fell down "Shun......I deserved... to die back... then"

 

"not don't ever think that" Shun said

 

" but I did.....in the..." a violent cough stopped lorelei for a second "in the flames...i saw all the terrible things ive done" she burried her head in shuns chest "It was horrible, i felt alone"

 

"your not alone you have me and I will always be with you" Shun said

 

The words comforted Lorelei as she cried into seths top "I dont want to feel..like that again"

 

"you won't feel like that ever again. I promise" Shun said

 

Lorelei looked up at Shun and slightly smiled "Thank..you" she whispered, before falling asleep in his arms

 

Shun smiled and looked at the others "lets go to the next town. That town looks moder this time so I guess we will have no trouble" Shun said

 

Dawn agreed "lets hope they're a bit more friendly"

 

Nova nodded

Shun walked ahead. HE looked at Lorelei and he was sad

 

Dawn walked next to her brother and placed a hand on his shoulder "Whats a matter Shun, you look really down, Lorelei's ok...isnt she?!?"
