Elizabeth finally got up as well, brushing away her drawing in the sand with with her foot, and joined the others. She glanced at Luke. "What's ridiculous?" she asked, having only caught what he'd said.

 

Prince Caspian was slightly surprised when she took her hand back, but didn't want to make her uncomfortable, although he did admit it was very nice holding hands with her. He turned and crossed his arms over his knees looking at the fire, "well it seems...your..uh..lighter was it I believe?..." he said with a gentle smile, "it seemed to do the trick..."

 

"It usually does," Alexandria agreed, watching the fire dance.

 

Luke gave Elizabeth a smile. "Sorry, it's just hard for me to accept this as real... maybe I think I'm ridiculous more than all this stuff around me."

 

Prince Caspian turned when she spoke from the fire, but regained his view when he looked back to the fire when she finished. He didn't know if there was still some tension from the little argument early or if it could be something else. He leaned back on his back, elevating himself with his arms, "its actually a pretty good night out..."

 

Elizabeth smiled back at Luke. "Probably, you are pretty ridiculous." she joked, sitting down near the fire. "But don't you think this place is at least interesting?" she asked, looking at him expectantly.

 

Luke gave Elizabeth a wink and moved to sit next to her. "Actually," he began, lowering his head close to her ear and whispering softly, "it's very... interesting here."

 

Alexandria smiled as she looked up at the stars. "It it nice..." Her mind was lying on the nights when she and William would stay up late and watch the stars.

 

Prince Caspian laid on his back looking up at the stars too, "hmm..." he said softly before turning his head towards Alexandria, "would you...perhaps like to take a walk miss Alexandria?" he asked. He sat up quickly and brushed himself off a little, "its up to you though..."

 

Alexandria looked back at Luke. He seemed to be preoccupied with Elizabeth, so she changed her mind about asking him. For a moment, Trufflehunter's warning about the Telmarines weighed on her mind, but didn't think that this Telmarine meant them harm. After all, he had them alone out here; if he wanted to hurt them, wouldn't he have done it by now?
"That sounds nice," She agreed. "I'll go."

 

Prince Caspian nodded softly, he began to stand up brushing off the little bits of grass and sand that had gotten over his clothes. He stretched slightly before extending his hand out to Alexandria, "I'm ready if you are miss Alexandria..."

 

Stubborn as always and a bit embarrassed, Alexandria stood up without taking Caspian's hand. "We'll be right back," She told the others.

 

Prince Caspian raised an eyebrow noticing she hadn't said anything or made any attempt to take his hand, it gave him a feeling of rejection as even a friend, but he tried not to let it get to him. He slowly started to walk to the coast, once again closing his eyes at the gentle breeze passing over his face and through his hair.

 

Alexandria followed Caspian, hands in her jacket pockets and her eyes on the ground. How could someone who was said to be so mean, be so clueless? Weren't the bad guys supposed to be cunning and have master plans? So why was it that this 'bad guy' didn't even know how to work a lighter?

 

Luke frowned slightly when Alex and Caspian left, but kept his attention on Elizabeth.

 

Prince Caspian sighed softly and continued walking, looking off into the distance as his legs slowly trudged him along. When they had made it close enough to the coast, he changed his line of vision to the ground, looking for just the perfect rock. When he found one that suited well enough he swung back and lightly tossed it watching it skitter across the gentle wave. He picked up another stone and held it slightly out in a offering manner, "would you like to try..." he asked softly.

 

"No thanks," Alexandria responded, still a bit distracted. So this 'bad guy' like to skip rocks too? This was turning out to be a very confusing land. She'd have to ask Glenstorm for some answers when she saw him.

 

Prince Caspian sighed letting the stone lightly fall from his hand and not even hearing the gentle thud it made because of the soothing waves. He rubbed the back of his head and glanced over at her only once before turning around and walking slowly, "maybe it would just be best if we headed back to camp..." he said softly. It was obvious she was not interested in a walk, however it confused him that she would agree when it was so apparent.

 

"Prince Caspian," Alexandria began in a hard tone. "If I didn't want to be here I would have said no." She smiled.

 

Prince Caspian stopped slowly hearing her address him in what seemed to be a hard tone, however because of it not wanting to turn around and closed his eyes sighing. He just stood there a minute hearing her claim, before softly speaking, "then why does your tone say different..." he said finally turning around to face her.
