The Chronicles of Narnia: The Middle

Luke sighed and yawned. "Is it morning yet?"

 

"The sun's barely rising," Alexandria replied. "And I'm still tired."

 

"go back to sleep then. We should all probably try and get some sleep at least." Elizabeth suggested, looking around at everyone.

 

Luke nodded. "I'm not tired, but you ladies can get some rest if you want."

 

Prince Caspian had remained quiet the whole time, his eyes and lips still but his ears wide awake to what they were saying, "Narnians..." the thought echoed in his head. So that was the reason he had not heard of them, probably because they were somewhat in an area the Telmarines had not conquered over yet.

 

"I think we should have said a better farewell to Trufflehunter," Alexandria murmured.

 

"I'm sure we'll see him again, eventually." Elizabeth said, yawning. "We can say a better hello to make up for it then, right?" she settled herself more comfortably so she was laying down. "I'm going to sleep, see you guys in an hour or whatever."

 

Alexandria glanced at William. "Are you still mad at me for taking the side of the Narnians before getting to know the Telmarines?"

 

William looked back at his twin. "No, I'm not upset at you. I just think that we should find out both sides of the story before choosing a side."

 

Prince Caspian had managed to sneak away a few feet away from the camp, leaning against a tree admiring the growing morning. Once again it seems sleep would evade him, but after all this time it didn't seem to bother him too much anymore. He sighed closing his eyes, so they had apparently met some Narnians before coming into contact with him, no doubt this Narnian, Trufflehunter was it, had given all of his people a bad name.

 

"That's you, not me," Alexandria sighed. "Haven't you figured that out yet? You got all the brains, and I got all the fun!

 

"Is that a good or bad thing?" Luke laughed at Alex.

 

"It's a good thing of course!" Alexandria smiled at Luke. "After all, no one would like us if we were both boring, scientific twins. I make us interesting!"

 

William frowned. "I'm interesting..."

 

Luke laughed again. "Of course you are, Will!" he chuckled. "Almost as interesting as your sister."

 

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" The twins chorused. William rubbed his head. "It can't be helped, I guess."

 

"It can too," Alexandria objected. "All you have to do is stop being so scientific."

 

"You mean logical," Luke countered. "Its okay to be logical when you're not sure of something."

 

"Eveyone's logical," Alexandria said. "Will here just takes it to the next level."

 

"It's not my fault I like science," William muttered.
