The Chronicles of Narnia: The Middle

Prince Caspian continued to watch the horizon until he heard them finally make it to the edge of the forest, raising an eyebrow at Elizabeth and Luke. He turned his attention to William and Alexandria, "I take it now we are ready to be on our way?"

 

"Yeah," William replied. "I think the sooner we get there, the better."

 

"Alright, then," Luke nodded, standing and offering Elizabeth his hand to help her up. "But I will remind about it later if you insist on not discussing it now."

 

"Hurry up!" Alexandria shouted at Elizabeth and Luke. "I'm hungry and there's no food here!"

 

Elizabeth stood up without taking his hand. "There isn't anything to discuss." she replied, rubbing her scrapped up arms and walking away from him, towards the others. "Sorry!" she called back at Alex, hurrying to catch up with them.

 

"Oh, we'll see," Luke muttered, running to catch up with Elizabeth. "You know you want to."

 

"Calm down, Alex," William laughed. "We'll get you some food soon."

 

"I know, but I'm hungry now," Alexandria replied to her twin.

 

Elizabeth shrugged. "Keep dreaming." she answered, reaching Alex. She found herself searching her best friend's expression althought she didn't know exactly what she expected to find.

 

"What?" Alexandria returned Elizabeth's gaze.

 

"Nothing..." Elizabeth smiled at Alex, pushing her thoughts away. "So we're ready?"

 

"Yeah," William answered. "We've got to find some food for Alex before she gets all grumpy."

 

Luke walked up to the others. Those two, he thought happily to himself. Liz and Alex are too good to be true...

 

OOC: *cough* pervert *cough* :D

BIC: "Good idea. We don't want Narnia's first impression of us to be a grumpy Alex." Elizabeth smiled, linking her arm with Alex's. "Which direction are we headed?" she asked Caspian.

 

"Towards food," Alexandria mumbled happily, swinging her twin's arm.

 

William slowed Alexandria's swinging, fearing his arm might pop out of its socket. "I'd suspect so," He chuckled back.

 

Prince Caspian noticed Elizabeth's arms, not stopping to ask, before ripping off some of his shirt and tying them into bandages around her arms. "There you are miss Elizabeth..." he spoke quietly turning to Alex next, lightly nodding with a small smile, "as much food as you would like miss Alexandria..." He walked over to the edge but this time continued walking, "lets go everyone...not much farther to Anvard..."

 

Elizabeth was startled by the bandages. "Oh, thank you." she said quickly. "You didn't' have to do that." she added as they followed him beyond the edge of the forest.

 

Prince Caspian nodded softly, "I know miss Elizabeth..." he said quietly continuing to walk towards Anvard, which you could see the highest point of the castle if you looked closely from here. "But I wanted to..." he added turning around for a moment and giving her a gentle smile.

 

Elizabeth smiled back. "Still... but thank you again." she looked around as they walked until her eyes fell on the visible part of the tower. "Oh, is that you're home?" she asked, excitedly.
