The Cold Consumes All

Sirius smiled and signaled for the others to calm down. And so they did. "My name is Sirius. It's...well, unexpected but nice to meet you. We don't see friendly faces often so sorry if we offended you." He looked around the group, waving his hand as a gesture for them to carry on. "I'm also sort of a bodyguard for a girl, though she is older than I... And stronger." He laughed happily, if not slightly nervously. "In fact... Well, we're looking for her now."

 

Vincent sighed and relaxed slightly, "Perhaps I could come with you all. I seem to have conjured a serious headache and I believe if I get caught by those air currents again I'll be in trouble with less than human creatures. Maybe I could help finding your charge." His wings were a dead giveaway that he wasn't human so everyone who saw him would know he wasn't exactly a "people person". Vincent gave his best, 'I'm a nice guy' smile and hoped for all he was worth that they'd believe him.

 

"Bah! I knew I needed to hide better." Ollerus muttered silently as he revealed his presence, walking out from behind the shed. Taking a good look at the girl, he noticed that vague golden letters were glowing around here. To a normal person, these letters would have been invisible to the naked eye until they were activated but to Ollerus, a person who has been trained to use magic and is very sensitive to it, they could easily be seen. While the spells didn't look to powerful to him, he decided that it would be best to test the girl out and see her potential before he made any kind of move. "Let's just call me the Crimson Knight for now. Actually...I like the sound of that name," joked Ollerus as he didn't want to reveal his true identity at the moment. "And who might you be?"

 

"Alrite. You're going to need this, and this." Mathew said to her, handing to her what looked like an ID card and a package. "All you need to do is walk inside, flash the card to anyone who asks, and try and ask around for a man named Alex. He's a bit of an oddball, but he shouldn't be too hard to find. I'd go inside myself, but I sort of got to keep things on a low key with myself. Sure you're alrite with this?" he asked her, giving her one last chance to back out if she didn't want to go inside one of the most feared buildings in the area.

 

Aywa nodded, she was petrified of that building but she did not want to back out. She said she'd help, so she would. She took a deep breath, and took a long pause before answering, "Yeah, I can do this" She took the ID card and parcel and looked down at them thouhtfully, what would happen if they discovered who she was, what she was? She was scared but did not want to show it. She forced a smiled and looked up at him, "So, I tell this man you have a new man for him?" She asked checking what she had to do and if she remembered right.

 

"Yes, that's correct. You can tell him that all the details are inside of the package and that he'll have four days. It's extremely important that this be done as quickly as possible." Mathew informed her, some what impressed that she hadn't back out by now. She definatly didn't seem like the boldest person, but she certainly had courage, and that was something to admire.

 

Awya nodded, making sure she remembered all of the information. She went in, asked for Alex, showed ID card if anyone asked, then tell him that they have a new man for him, details in package and he has 4 days. She reassured herself that it wouldn't be so hard, simply in and out. But her mind kept going back to the what ifs that she tried hard to ignore. She forced a smile at Matt, clutching the parcel in front of her and taking deep breaths, "I'd better do this then. Wish me luck" She turned and walked towards the door, pausing outside it and looking back at Matt. Her heart beat fast inside her chest, just praying to whatever was out there that this would all go to plan. With a deep breath, she went through the door.
