The Cold Consumes All

ooc: shiz going on at home thats just ending now, thank you for staying even with my lack of posting, i apologize for not doing so.

bic: "Live around here...huh...well, you could say that I'm familiar with the area." Matt said to her, not really wanting to say too much. He was a topsider after all. In general, people up there weren't supposed to have any form of relationship with the underworld in any way shape or form, but he was a huge exception in this case, and so he needed to make sure that he kept things hush hush, so as not to upset things. Whether that be with Ink, or with civilians in general.
"I'm just used to traveling around the area is all."

 

Aywa raised an eyebrow, she was still curious about her companion but she could tell he didn't really want to talk about it and she didn't want to ruin this by pushing her luck. She'd try and find out more later, he fascinated her, though she did her best not to show it. She smiled at him and nodded, "Nice" She really wanted to keep the conversation going and for it not to collapse into arkward silence, but she'd been alone a fair amount recently and her conversational skills were lacking slightly. "So, you been busy lately?"

 

Mya put on a small smile. More than any of us? Heh you're on! She started to fire arrows rapidly and with extreme accuracy as each arrow shot hit its target somewhere on each monster.

Huh...so this is the power of the- Her thoughts were cut off as the ground under her began to shake. "Hey! Control this better!" She shouted back at Grey, thinking it was his doing. She ended up losing her footing when the ground cracked open. Just at that moment did the monsters all decieded to attack at once. No! What a lame way to go down! She shouted mentally as she got to her feet only to have at least ten monsters swarm her.

 

Mya stumbled about in the earthquake and then looked back at Shiira to be swarmed upon. She fired a volley of arrows at the monsters knocking all but three down. Then one monster pounced on Mya and knocked her bow away. Mya kicked the creature off of her and jumped up, whipping out her knife and slashed at the monster.

OOC: Yea I have no clue what these "monsters" are. Forgive me if I used the the wrong way D8

 

Shiira used Grey to help herself to her feet and grinned. "Thanks. Good to know I can count on you." She felt her wounds close and looked back to see a white aura covering Azure, who must be the one healing her. She waved slightly to show her thanks, receiving a smile in return. She then turned to face the monsters once more only to see that they were retreating. "Odd...these things never give up..."

 

Mya watched them retreat, then sheathed her knife back on. She walked over to her bow and slung it over her shoulder. She then walked back to Shiira and Grey. Well that wasn't too much of a challenge was it?

 

OOC: um...I think we all know the issue here. What's happened to the other side of the story?

 

Mya looked over at Grey and frowned when she saw him. Hey you alright Grey? You don't look so good. You look really pale. She touched his forehead to see if there were anything wrong with his body temperature.

 

ooc - I was waiting for guardian soul to make their oc... Can someone ask them about that? If not I will when I am on later. Sneaking on to make a few quick rp posts. Will edit this in a moment with an ic post.


Shiira looked over to Grey with a concerned look. Always a price for great power then, huh? But instead of checking on him she looked back towards the monsters to watch as they all went back under the sand, as if they melted into it. Just as they were all gone the air got thick and a black mist began to cover the sand. She looked to the other townspeople but none seemed to know what was going on. Then, one by one, they were pulled into the sand. "Go back to the town! Now!" Without question most fled back to the town while others were too loyal to watch Shiira got out on her own, nonetherless they went back eventually. She spun her blade once more and watched as a figure rose out of the mist. "Well...who do we have here."

 

Mya wasn't too sure of Grey's condition, but then noticed the situation. She jumped back to avoid the sand and drew her bow. She scanned the area and noticed the figure in the distance. What is that?

 

"I wish I knew..." Shiira muttered to answer both of their questions. It soon moved close enough to make it. It was a person, a male in fact. He seemed human enough, but the vibe Shiira felt...it made her feel scared, if not sick. Just who was he? She wondered this while keeping both blades at the ready, knowing she'd probably need both instead of just the one.

When the raven haired male was close enough for all to see he smiled. It was a smile meant to look nice while holding a menacing touch. "I never had the chance of meeting forest dwellers out here in The Waste. It is an honor to meet the three of you. And the same goes to you as well, Shiira. It must of been hard creating this town and keeping it alive for so long."

ooc - I noticed that it's been a while since anyone has posted in the ooc thread. If someone could go do that now so it won't be closed that would be greately appericated.

 

Mya narrowed her eyes and ran her fingers along her bowstring. He wasn't holdiling a weapon or anything, but there was something about him that just made him...dangerous. It made her nervous, ready to act if anything happened.

 

"My name is Night, leader of Sin." His eyes wondered over to a spot where some of the black ooze remained. "The Cold created those monsters, not me. And though I have gained control over most of them, there are still those that wonder freely. And it would seem like these are a fine example of that, and that they also took some of your friends. I would offer my help to save them, but only touching the monsters is dangerous. Your friends are probably no more already..."

Shiira's face remained calm, but her hands were shaking from rage. "Just what the hell you want?" She spoke in a low voice that could not hide her anger as well as her face could.

"Just to talk really. Not here though." He looked to his side where a light blue hole in space started to form. He gestured to the portal. "If you will..."


A man standing at the edge of the alley way saw two people walking by. "Hey," he called over to them and rushed to their side. "I've seen you two around here quite often... And well, I am curious if I can interest you in some Black?" He asked in a low whisper, smoothing back his dark brown hair.


ooc - for malice and midnight's character. I am bad at being a creepdy shady guy like this. Insane people are my forte.

 

Mathew's head turned, hearing a word that instantly peaked his interest.
"Black..." he echoed, saying the first one word sentence in quite some time.

He changed his direction toward the man and began to approach him, expecting her to follow him without his needing to ask, nor his wanting. He was quite familiar when it came to this type in the upperworld. Drug dealers would roam the backstreets and allyways, trying to lure in the younger population to ensnare them, like a spider. Sadly enouph, it was much too easy for kids to get sucked into these types of things. Black though was an entirely different story...

"Black you say...? That's interesting that you bring it up. I've heard the rumors. Are they true?"
