The Hunt

"Im going hunting..."she muttered

 

"Good.Riddance!"

 

He got to his feet,brushing grass off himself

 

Alec rubbed his throat, "He's always been such a jerk. C'mon, we should get back. It's been too long since we've been home."

 

"Yeah well....they all are."he muttered before nodding "Home."

 

Iris ran up to Innes. "I need to go with you!" She was clinging onto his arm tightly.

 

He nodded again

 

Alec picked up his large book and walked back toward the forest, "I can't believe I let that idiot provoke me again."

 

Innes followed him to the forest,pulling Iris with him

 

"So...where is this 'home'? I believe we were getting to that earlier?"

 

"This way "he said following the way they had come

 

Alec didn't want to bring it up but his mouth moved faster than his brain at the moment, "So Innes, your parents were human once?"

 

"Uh Yeah...."He said"they were Married for like...three years then a vampire bit my mother and and werewolf bit my dad....but this was when they didnt really know the rules....anyways a week later Mom found out she was pregnant...but uh...Vampires took her away the same day werewolves took my dad....I;ve never seen him y'know...mom didnt allow it...they thought I'd be a help in the war...but It turns out I was a hinderence...so I ran away..."

 

Alec couldn't help himself, "Lucky. My parents were what they are when the had me. Mom was always the kinder of the werewolves I've met. That's why...they killed her. Father considers me a useful tool at best to his side."

 

"Thats all they see us as...tools."

 

Alec fell silent and opened his book, which was actually a sketch book/journal of his time. "It's been a while since I've been compelled by Vincent to help him negotiate with another vampire."

 

"Good at using us too..."

 

He nodded in silence and continued walking until he felt his powers kick in again. His awarness of the forest increased.

 

He sniffed the air slightly

 

Alec sighed, "We're almost home." His head started to buzz with everyone else's thoughts.
