The Hunt

Alec waved off her apology, "Don't worry about it. I get that all the time. It's why I choose to stay away from everyone else more." He opened his book and felt along with his powers. Though his energy to use them was rapidly decreasing he kept using until he would be tired enough to sleep for once.

 

Iris looked around at the scenery, "So, where exactly are we going?"

 

Alec frowned at his book, "Our home is deep in the forest. It's the only way we can hide from the pure breeds and still have an effect on the war." He cast a yellow-eyed glance at her over his shoulder, "Don't worry, it's rather nice. Though I wouldn't expect to see me often."

 

"Hmm, and why would that be?"

 

Alec stopped and gave her a cold yellow-eyed stare, "Honestly, would you want to see this face around a lot?" He moved foreward again, "And my father practically owns me still. He thinks I come to his beck and call but one day...somone stronger will rip damned undead throat out."

 

"Ah, I'm sorry..." She apologised again. She cringed again from pain. "Shall we continue?"

 

Alec stopped and shook his head, "Why bother, I'm right here. Let me see your wound." He pulled out a pouch full of anibiotics and bandages.

 

"O-Okay" Iris untied her makeshift belt and lifted up the back of her outfit, feeling mighty uncomfortable doing so.

 

Alec studied it with a professional eye and dabbed it with antibiotics, "So Iris, do you have any family? That accepts what you are or something?"

 

"Kinda, my dad does, but he doesn't care much for me, It's all about my sister, his little "Dollie" " She spat the last part.

 

Alec tried to suppress the urge but he couldn't. His powers probed her thoughts and found her sister as a werewolf. He snarled under his breath, "Your sister is a pure breed werewolf? And they call us the filthy creatures." He covered her wound with a bandage and taped it there, "There, good to go."

 

Iris smiled at him, "Thanks but...how did you know my sis was a werewolf? I don't recall ever telling you"

 

Alec tapped his head, "Mind reading skills. I have a lot of little powers here and there. Moving stuff, reading minds, seeing bits of the future, projecting thoughts. All stuff I'd rather not do. I don't like getting inside people's heads. That's what my father does and I won't turn out like him."

 

"I see, I'm sure you won't" She redressed. "I take it your father isn't role model material?"

 

Alec put his pouch back into his pocket, "As much as a power hungry vampire can get. No not really."

 

Innes watched while Alec cleaned her up,then he turned his back,as if checking to see if everything was OK,then he spun back around with vampiric speed"I forgot that Other girl!"he said

 

The man began to laughed as he jumped backwards

 

"I'll be right back."he said running back the way he came,looking for the girl

 

Dahlia had had enough. "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" She screeched at him, swiping her umbrella at him.

"O-Okay" Iris said to both of them.

 

Suddenly the man reached towards his back and drew out a sword and slashed at the umbrella
