The Institution

Rhixan kissed back, hugging him. "YOU'RE ALIVE!" She did a loop-da-loop in the air.

 

Neal hugged back. "Hospital...."

 

Rhixan nodded and flew off, holding onto Neal tightly. "Don't scare me like that again..."

 

"I'm sorry..." Neal kissed her neck.

 

Rhixan looked at him, smiling. "Never leave me. Never leave us. We can't survive without you and neither can I."

 

"Of course you can..." Neal snuggled her.

 

"No I can't...." Rhixan flew up into the clouds to avoid a plane. "I seem hard on the ourside but on the inside, I'm just small, shy and timid." She looked at him. "I act tough to give the little ones hope. But i'm so scared at times, I feel like I can't go on, then theres you, helping everyone."

 

"I do what I feel is right." Neal said.

 

"And I follow, even more scared then the youngest of us." Rhixan shut her eyes. "I'm not strong or helpful. At all." She opened her eyes and flew down, landing by a Hospital. Running inside, Rhixan tucked away her wings.

 

"You are." Neal kissed her. "I wouldn't be alive if you weren't helpful."

 

"Oh fine then." Rhixan muttered, looking around. "Can someone help me?! My friend is hurt badly!" She shouted.

 

A doctor ran up to them. "What happened?"

 

Rhixan looked up at the doctor, slightly scared. A wave of antiseptic came into the air. Fuck. She blinked. "W-We were exploring around. He slipped and I couldn't reach him so he landed on the ground, By the time I got to him, he was like this...." She started to cry again slightly.

 

"Well, don't worry." The doctor took Neal and put him on a bed. "We'll take good care of him."

 

Rhixan stood next to the bed. "C-Can I stay with him?" She asked.

 

"Of course." The doctor wheeled Neal down a hall.

 

Rhixan followed after, holding onto Neal's hand. "Don't worry, you'll be fine." She smiled at him, her pupils turning to slits like a cat.

 

Neal squeezed her hand tight.

 

"I'm just not too fond of it here. The smell of antiseptic is clogging my nose up and the sounds of those awful heart machines are bleeping around." Rhixan frowned. "I hate being half cat at times."

 

"Go then. The others need you at Grandpa's warehouse." Neal said.
