The Keyblade War-Breath of the Future

Mixt kept his eyes on Phisoxa's as summoned his keyblade, Philosophical Destruction. With one swift motion he ripped the keychain off it's hilt and threw the keyblade at the ground by Atem's feet so it would stick upright in the ground. As the blood red color faded from the blade, leaving behind a gray much like ash, a keychain materialized on it. It was once again in it's pure state, Unholy Avenger. "Find the secret it locks away in the land of your mother's past."

 

Phisoxa disummoned her keyblade and turned to observe to see what Atem would do.
Atem slowly reached towards it and touched it's handle, he pulled it out of the ground but to him it was extremely heavy even though it was rather light for Mixt to carry.

 

Mixt almost wanted to smile as he watched his son adjust to the weight of his old blade. It had been a very long time since he last saw it in that form, he recalled using it's strength in the old war to create fissures in the ground. How strong was it now, he wondered. It's power grew continuously, by now it could probably take out an army in just a few swings. Mixt turned away "This world is yours. I will not interfere here. But you better prepare yourself for this is not permanent. And unlike our last match, when I return here I won't be holding back." With those words Mixt opened a portal over the dark path.

 

Phisoxa:" I wish to retrieve my son from Nuthura first and tell them to get out of here, I will come with you, Atem . . . Stay with Nuthura and continue your training with Riku ."
Atem gritted his teeth and rushed at Mixt before he could go inside, trying his best to swing the blade at him.

 

Mixt slipped into battle form summoning Evron's keyblade straight out to his side. As Mixt gathered his energy the ground beneath him started to crack into a crator like some immense weight was on it. As darkness poured out of him Mixt slashed forward. For a fleeting moment he was afraid. He did not know how much power his old sword had now and Atem's attack was so sudden he didn't have ime to judge it's power level. If he didn't collect enough energy then he would die, but if he gathered too much he would completely overpower Atem and kill him instead. And there was also the matter that if it was close enough for negation that much energy clashing was unpredictable. Mixt closed his eyes just before impact as if him not seeing it would change the gravity of that single moment.

 

When Atem brought the key down a small but intense explosion sent him flying back several feet and he landed in the middle of the path of light. Phisoxa shielded her eyes from the blast since it was so sudden. Atem tried to push himself up with the key in hand.
Phisoxa:" Atem, no stop, stop it !!"
Atem did not heed his mother's words and shot back Mixt.

 

Mixt remained in a relaxed stance until the last second when he flash stepped behind Atem and kicked him through the portal. Mixt then stepped through himself. "By my promise to your mother I won't pursue a fight with you but I can't stop you from starting the fight. Just know that this battle ends when you will it. What I can change though is the battle field so I must insist we fight here, in the portal void."

 

zero and midory stare at the master of all heartless whit fear "what are you doing here master" said midory and got her keyblade out and zero was frozen and got his two keyblade out and wander why he was his "yes we are still heartless whit human form and nothing more"

 

"Oh don't act so suprised. Except for the two of you, heartless are rather simple beings. Relying purely on instinct they will come to the side of the most powerful one who calls them. Surely you did not believe that title belonged to anyone but me, did you?" Mixt responded. With a snap of his fingers the Darkside vanished into black smoke to return to the dark realm. "I have no purpose for you now. But you are forbidden from taking place in this battle. This is between me and my son"

 

Phisoxa:" I'm coming along, I don't want anything getting too out of hand, I will step in if necessary but Atem . . . don't do anything stupid. If you get the feeling like you are about to give in, stop immediately please."
She said following them, looking worried. When Atem entered the void he regained his stance and waited for Mixt to make his move.

 

"You are learning. When out matched it is usually best to rely on defense until an opening arrives. However there are two flaws currently. First you missed an opening when I was speaking with Zero. Second your recent advances have been in power..." suddenly a hand appeared on Atem's shoulder as Mixt appeared next to him and whispered in his ear "...not agility" Mixt suddenly vanished again appearing behind Atem in a Zantetsuken stance.

 

Atem was becoming irritated by Mixt's persistent showing of power and held his ground even though he came so close to possibly being killed.
Atem:" Stop showing off and just fight me !!"
The boy said as he began charging at Mixt this time, quickening his speed as he went and it seemed that he was more like skidding across the ground, he only touched down on the ground a few times as he made three strikes with the key so fast that it looked more like claw marks.

 

Mixt took the attack in full as his made his own slash but despite the formation it was an ordinary slash and simply cut Atem's arm instead of what a zantetsuken in Mixt's hands was capable of. "If I went all out with you how you are now, you wouldn't live long enough to call it quits. BTW, you have two keyblades now. I sugest you take advantage of them both." Mixt tossed Evron's keyblade to his left hand where it promptly reshaped into a gauntlet. "I bet you can't even make me move from this spot"

 

Atem:" Stop messing with me !!"
He said as he summoned his own trusty keyblade in his left hand and flew back at him once more, he seemed more intent on stopping Mixt then actually thinking things out before attacking. His anger getting the best of him and letting his power rise uncontrollably. This made Phisoxa worry, hopefully he didn't have a power burst and try to attack Mixt with it, he could possibly kill Mixt or worse with his amateur skills in controlling his own power, he could turn it on himself. And if Mixt replied which such great power as well, they could both kill eachother.

 

Mixt crouched at the last second, lifting Atem up by his waist using his own momentum against him to throw him across the space. With his feet still planted his back was now to Atem. "You are going to have to do better than that."

 

Atem went flying through the air like a doll and landed with a crumpling thump on the ground several feet away as his keys landed beside him with a metal clank. For a few moments it had seemed to knock him unconscious but then he began to push himself off the ground and summoned his keys back. His bangs were covering his eyes so it was hard to see his expression but when brushed them out of his eyes they were glowing blue. The air around him began to grow humid and shaky from the power that was coursing through it, the sound of a sad chilling tune began to sound faintly in the air, perhaps it was the cause of the power pushing to it's limit? Or was it another cause? Atem began flashing stepping towards Mixt, disappearing and appearing in several places before appearing in front of Mixt and slamming his blades into him, causing a huge rush of blue light to engulf them both, there was a explosion that sent both of them flying back.

 

When Mixt noticed his new speed he turned arround and slammed the keyblade gauntlet at the point where the blades crossed as a method of blocking. As the energy from the explosion settled Mixt laughed. "Now that is what I'm talking about!" Mixt flash stepped in at Atem and began to punch at him with little power but repitition that rivaled a machine gun.

 

Atem at first was caught off guard and allowed himself to take each one of the hits but then Atem counterattacked them with a few powerful kicks aimed at Mixt's stomach and then used him as a leverage to kick off and get away from Mixt's attack range. He then began to spin his keyblades at a dangerous rate as he went flying through mid air and began to land cuts on both Mixt's arms, they were minor but he landed one large deep cut across Mixt's chest. A warning of worse things to come.
However Phisoxa could feel the power rising and thus masking the air unstable, something bad was going to happen soon if she did not intervene.

 

If Mixt felt any pain he didn't show it, but then again he rarely did. On the contrary his smile grew larger still. Mixt's head suddenly shot up, flicking the hair out of his eyes as he pulled back his gauntlet hand. Mixt fingers closed into a fist one at a time and and let his body tremble with power as darkness circled arround him gathering energy until Atem's attack.

 

Atem shot back, he started getting ready for a much more power attack, one that could do pretty good damage to them both. His eyes glowed more intensely as he took off towards him. Phisoxa could not stand back and continue to watch with each painful looking clash. She had to intervene this time. She began rushing towards Atem and Mixt, intent on getting in the middle of them before they could strike again. Phisoxa jumped in the middle when the were only feet away from eachother, without even considering they won't even stop for her.
Phisoxa:" Stop this now you can't continue any further or you will di- . . .! !!"
Atem did not stop, he only sped up the power coursing through him numbed his judgment.
