I like Bolt, he is a great athlete in physical and mental ability and tries to entertain the crowd.

He held is title even when he wasn't in peak condition. Pretty much a legendary athlete in my book.

And so, the Olympics have come to an end. OP has been updated for the last time with the final medal count. Glad to see Team USA winning the most gold, and the most medals overall. And congrats to every other country!

Yeah, leave it open for the Paralympics. :D

I also thought the closing ceremony was very interesting, I didn't get to watch the opening ceremony (but I did catch up on the best parts) but I enjoyed the live music and the singer (whose name escapes me) who sang first- her voice is just gorgeous. I thought they presented Britain well and it made me feel proud to be British, it amused me that they included rush hour and just the general working day represented through the workers. I liked how they extinguished the flame as well, I wasn't expecting that but then I fell asleep after that so I don't know if I missed anything worth seeing. I also thought they played with the crowd pixel lighting (don't know what to actually call it) very well and I can't comprehend what the atmosphere was like in that stadium.

Perhaps the best quote of the Olympics by Erick Barrondo, winner of Guatemala's first-ever Olympic medal with silver in the men's 20km race walk.
"I hope that this medal inspires the kids at home to put down guns and knives and pick up a pair of trainers instead."

We didn't score many medals because we know there are more important things to invest in than sports!

And the Olympics is not a matter of who gets the most medals. Only the Americans think that the one with the most medals wins.
