The news is a little disappointing, I'll admit, but if the delay means a more polished final product, then I'm all for it! Too many games now rush out the door and turn out poorer for it. Taking out of E3 completely, though, that's...an interesting decision.
Makes sense to me; we've basically seen nothing since, what, last summer I think? I am intrigued about the talk of choosing Link's gender, though I'm not a fan of giving any of the characters full voice acting.
There doesn't seem to be another thread for this game, so I'll leave this here: Nintendo is holding a sweepstakes wherein the one lucky winner will receive a trip for two to California to attend E3 and be among the first to play the Wii U version of the game. Details here.
Here is the new trailer for Breath of the Wild! Nintendo also unveiled some matching amiibo (and Wolf Link support), and they have been showing off gameplay segments on their E3 stream all day.
The Wii U and Switch versions are going to very close in file size (and very compressed holy moly). The game will be 13gb on Wii U while 13.4gb on the Switch. Source here. I don't even know where to begin whenever I'm gushing about this trailer "ZORA AND RITO?!?!" "BEARDED GORON BUDDY?!?!?!" "THOSE ITEMS?!?!?!" "VOICE ACTING IS TOP WHAT?!?!?!?" "TOWNS?!?!" "RAFTING!?!?!?!?" "DEKU TREE 2!?!?!" I just want it.
