The Legend of Zelda : Vaati's alliance

Daine realized that she should have been tired, but she felt fine. That's weird. She shook it off. "Princess Zelda is right. We should rest before going after them again."

 

"So Daine what happened?" Zelda asked.

 

"I don't really know." Daine admitted, dismounting Kaze. "Kaze and I were about to go after Ganondorf when a golden wolf came. I thought I'd try to talk to it, but my magic didn't affect it. I got off of Kaze and then next thing I knew I was in a different place and the wolf had turned to a skeleton soldier." Daine looked at her feet. "I know it sounds weird, but that skeleton helped me with my magic."

 

"It doesn't sound weird to me at all." Said Zelda. "How did he help you, like in what ways?"

 

Daine looked up at Zelda. "Well, he taught me how to concentrate my magic into a ball and throw it. And he taught me how to control how much of it I use when I put it into my arrows. And..." She paused. "He... He said I was like Link..."

 

"Like courage?" Zelda asked.

 

Daine nodded meakly.

 

"Well, you are very courageuos. You just go into a battle like it is nothing. You even jumped into that dark hole to save me. If that isn't courage I don't know what is." Zelda said, and smiled.

 

Daine smiled, knowing Zelda was right. "That was nothing." She said, embarassed and not used to compliments. "I had to do a lot of things to try to fit in with the others when I was growing up, and they still didn't accept me. They'd make me do things like climb to the top of a tree and jump off saying that they'd let me into their group if I did. They never did of course, they just wanted to see what they could make me do. I guess it was the little things like that that made me want to get out of there so badly. Maybe I should thank them. After all, if they hadn't made me do that, I might still be back home, moping that I was a loner."

 

"Well you are no longer a loner. As long as you stay with Link and I you will always be a part of a group that appreciates you for you, and that will not make you do things that you do not want to." Said Zelda.

 

Daine smiled, really feeling like she was a part of their group. "Thanks, Princess Zelda."

 

"Your welcome." said Zelda. "So do you think we should fnd a place to rest for awhile?"

 

Kaze whinnied. Daine smiled and laughed a bit. "That's a 'yes.'"

 

"How far away are we from the castle?" Asked Zelda.

 

"Not very far. Maybe a ten minute ride." Daine said.

 

"Well would you like to go back there and rest and maybe get something to eat?" Asked Zelda.

 

Daine nodded. Kaze moved next to Zelda. "He wants to know if you want to ride him." Daine said.

 

"That would be lovely." Said Zelda.

 

Daine smiled. "Sorry there's no saddle. I didn't have any money to buy one. But he'll go exactly as you want him to." Kaze shook his head up and down as if to say 'of course I will'.

 

Zelda smiled. Then asked "Are you riding him as well?"
