The Lost Ones

" Well why do you care, if was your teem that did that to them. And what do you mean torture?" Lament asked.

 

"Ehhhh sorry. I think I said to much. Don't get me wrong, I am not in that rebellion or anything, but I still have sort of an obligation to keep. And try not to get them wrong. THey mean well." thorn said. He then began to chuckle a little.

 

" What do you mean they mean well!?! All they do is constantly attack inoccent people!" Lament said standing up.

 

THorn began to lauph. "I'm sorry, but you got your facts wrong. You guys have been attacking innocent people. We have been trying to protect them" thorn said

 

" What!?! I think that infection went to your head!! We attack those TLO's that you send at the cities!" Lament said.

 

"Not to smart, are ya. When you attack the TLO's, that is when you are attacking innocent people." thorn said."You really are clueless"

 

" But... TLO's are monsters. How can they be inocent people?" She asked.

 

"I don't know how much Erif wants me to ever say, so I can't really explain it. But listen, just do me a favor, Don't blame the TLO's. It isn't their fault" thorn said as he started to stand up, his wounds feeling better, but still sore. "I got to get goin now, so seeya" he said. He really wanted to see how the civilians were

 

" Wait a minute. I don't understand. What are TLO's? And why do you help them?" Lament asked.

 

"Because, if we don't help them, then how else will they become human again?" thorn asked. "Sorry, but I really need to go" he said as he began to run away, going at a high speed. He was trying to get away as quickly as possible, just so that way he would be able to stop answering questions. He hated it when people had to rely on him for something, as well as when he had to rely on people for his own well being

" Human again? What? Wait!" Lament said as he left. She sighed and sat down.

 

"Boy, he seems to be in a hurry" rahajaha said as he walked through the forest, approaching Lament. He was wearing strange robes, and he had a cup of tea in his hand.

 

Kain was nailing down some tables together. In the past few hours, he managed to puit together a couple of houses and now he was working on the park near the lake. He got flahbacks, remembering beofre the lake was destroyed.

"Yeah, I remember now...This is where we played together all the time. The lake was always so serene, you'd just get a soft vibe just from hearing the sound of the water current grazing against the wind....Those were some good times..."

He shook his head and got back to the work at hand. "I have to get this done. No more flashbacks. This city won't rebuild itself, after all."

 

Lament stood back up startled. " Oh hello, how long have you been there?" She asked.

 

"Actually, I just got here. I saw you with the young man, so I thought that I would remain silent" rahajaha said. "I find it quite suprising though. Isn't he a part of the strange rebellion?" he asked.

Jessica quickly hid again, as soon as she got the spider off of her. "Thanks god he didn't hear me scream" he muttered to herself as she spied on kain

 

" Oh um yeah." Lament said.

 

Kain finished nailing down the parkbench and loked around to see what he should rebuild next.

"Okay, that fountain's going to need fixing up (no idea how I'm going to do that), the pier needs to be rebuilt, I think those boats could use some repair and ,of course, the pipeline leading to the fountain should be checked up on." Writing done all these things on a list, he double-checked it and sighed.

"Well, all this put together should take me....more hours than I should spend on one thing..."

He thought he could hear footsteps, but when he turned around, there was nothing there. "I'm probably hearing things. Working too hard, and all that jazz."

 

Jessica watched carefully. "Sheesh, this guy needs a hobby. Getting dirty and sweaty while tryen to build houses just isn't my thing" jessica muttered.


"Then why do you help him?" rahajaha asked
