While I do not believe Joss Whedon is a minor prophet as some people do, I do believe the teams he pulls together have shown rather well in the past as these things go.

He's got a thing about killing women though. It's a little... creepy.

Anyhow, I'm not surprised by who doesn't like his stuff and the reasoning why.

Are you being serious or gauging the legitimacy of people's hate?

 

Take a low budget indie film that tries being artsy through having literally no shown conflict, instead choosing to tell the story entirely through recorded dialogue, and follows a non-character protagonist walking around her own empty house and learning that her sister is actually gay with more interesting side-stories that aren't even given focus.

Now make a person actually have to put effort to be told this story, without any action, or even a character model to look at.

Apparently this is what game journalism is now praising.

 

I've seen my little sister write better stories than that and she's seven years old.

 

I have never looked it up in the past and I haven't yet. It's one of those things you just want a human touch on I guess.

Based on Haya's explanation it's irredeemable, rancid, fetid shit. So I guess that's all I need to know.
