I can totally understand that, it's definitely not for everyone. I find it incredibly charming, and even if the humor is... well, potty humor, I like potty humor. v: But again, not for everyone. Some of the episodes are just remarkably real and have ridiculously great character development that it's hard to believe it airs on cartoon network.

I am also ridiculously in love with PB oops
I actually watched the first two seasons a couple of months ago, but I got distracted? Or something, and stopped. I picked back up again a couple days ago.

I'm just downloading the episodes, I know they're available to stream online but none of them loaded fast enough or were high enough quality for me. The first season is on Netflix.

See, sometimes I feel this way... Like in her episodes with Marceline. But then she does some things that just show a disregard for people :X

That said, it's seriously one of my favorite cartoons. It's trying so hard that you can't just not acknowledge it and give it a shot.

Have you seen the episodes with Simon yet?[DOUBLEPOST=1390413450][/DOUBLEPOST]

Better look out Candy Crush, Romancing SaGa could want to protect itself too.

See that's something I love about PB's characterization (and everyone on the show, really)--they're multi-layered. Peebles, for example, is like Finn in that she has a strong sense of right and wrong (she's basically the head princess & is always sending Finn on his quests), but unlike Finn she can lose sight of that, and struggles with moral grayness. Cloning is shady moral territory but she does it in Goliad because she's afraid of her own mortality. I haven't reached the episode with all the details but she asked Flame King to inprison Flame Princess because FP is a threat to everyone. This is highlighted in her interactions with Marceline, who mocks her for being all sweet on the surface--but there's something far more complicated beneath. PB is incredibly powerful and she has to make really tough decisions as such.

She seems all around to know what is right and wrong, but she's learned through the years that sometimes she has to push those boundaries for what she perceives to be "the greater good"--and sometimes she goes too far (or doesn't go far enough).

Romantically I think PB is also really interesting. Finn is obviously into her for a while, and at times she treats him very platonically, or she suggests something more is there (this is especially apparent in the first episode with Lemongrab, and hinted at in the one where she tries to tear apart FP and Finn), calling him "my knight" or something along those lines. Then in the episode with Broco, it does seem like there is something more there than just loving all the candy people. And even if you don't think it's romantic, her history with Marceline functions similarly. PB seems to not only push people away because she fears it would interfere with her job as Princess (she says something like "sometimes you want to smooch someone but it wouldn't be right"), but also because she's unsure that anyone could ever be her intellectual/maturity equal, and is generally unable to understand and confront her emotions.

She's also absolutely absurd and adorable, but I love seeing her moral complexity developed as the show goes on.

The last episode I saw with Simon was Simon & Marcy, unsure if there are more ahead.

I agree to all your points. She is definitely interesting but she starts having... more questionable judgement calls recently. There's an episode coming up where character x and character y get married and she goes to some absurd, almost tyrannical, lengths. That's actually probably one of my main motivations to keep watching- to see if PB turns into someone I like or not. She has a strong heart and wants to do the right thing a lot (the episode "Sky Witch" gets her some mad props), but the ratio of good to bad is starting to lose its spread...

Yeah, that's the latest one I know of- what'd you think of that one?

Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig? Yeah, I saw that one out of order, my sister watches them as they air so I've seen a few I'm not up to yet. but yeah, her constant development is why I'm always excited to see her in an episode--I want to see where they take her character.

I liked Simon & Marcy, emotionally I preferred I Remember You but I am really interested to learn more about the history/lore of Ooo.

Who wants to hear about my morning? No one? Too bad.

tl;dr version: snow happened, i drove into a ditch

Okay so, the area I live in get's snow once or twice a year, it's not something we get often. Both my mom's school and my sister's school were closed yesterday because of the forecast but ofc there was no snow at all until late last night. They also had today off, but for some reason I will never understand, my school was the only school in the entire area that did not close. This was a huge mistake on the schools part. I don't know what the hell they were thinking considering a vast majority of students drive to school. They have two dorm-ish buildings there, but most people drive. The street I live on was covered in snow and the road in front of my neighborhood was as well. All was good on the interstate and other roads until I got off in the city where my school is, the roads there were covered in snow as well. This isn't the problem though, just drive slowly, the problem is that to get to the school, there's this three mile stretch of road going through a forest and by the country and other nature stuff. This is bad because ice will form beneath the snow due to the sun being blocked by the trees and whatever. The lanes were still invisible and the roads were covered in ice. wth why are you making me put my life on the line here. I was driving on this road and there was a car in front of me that I was following at a good distance that had stopped for some reason, and so of course I gently press the brakes but my car starts sliding and when it becomes apparent that I'm not going to be able stop I drive into a ditch to avoid hitting the car. Good thing there wasn't a tree or something there. I called someone, waited a minute, and then drove out and continued onto school. Basically no one was there because a lot of people that go there are coming from an area with roads that are dangerous in bad weather, so I only had the first class. What really makes me mad is not only that the school stayed open, but that they had a delayed opening. How. the. hell. does that help anyone? What's the point? But of course the opening was delayed till my first class so I didn't benefit from it anyway, but still. I have pictures that I took of the roads and stuff but I'm feeling lazy after typing this behemoth but if you're interested (lol) I'll post them.
