Do you happen to have a bootable copy of Win 7 on the side ? Because I just spent my last week end fixing a friend' s computer. Apparently his gf chose to update to Win 10, but his internet connection crashed midway or something. Turns out no one has Windows on a CD anymore these days, I had to download a bunch of pirated copies and a program to make bootable USB drives. The first version I tried did work, but it was all in Swedish. The second I tried was in English, but I had to install it through Russian instructions. Then I had to switch everything to azerty, find a bunch of drivers since, for some reason, his router wasn' t recognized anymore, and then they spent the whole night waiting for the update that would include the option to switch back to French. Fun times.

I have 97% trophy completion in KH1FM and the gummi ship missions are ruining my hopes of getting the Platinum

On the plus side, got Parappa 2 for half off and it's super cute and fun.

 

I had bought Sims 4 a while ago and installed it through Origin even tho I had a disk, and now I'm trying to get it back after my hard drive failure and it's saying the code has already been used. Which it has, OBVIOUSLY but since I installed it through Origin it should be in my library right? Nope! Sims 2 is there, The Sims 3 ones I registered are there, but not 4. What the hell.

I think I've said on the Podcast that I didn't play Sims anymore, but now that my book is done and in the process of being edited I have nothing to do with my life, so it's Sims and Animal Crossing.

 

I finally got around to playing the taken king. I also realized I don't remember how to play destiny -_-

 

Don't put the disc in. At least that's what I've done.

yo I made a horrible mistake. Decided to read a Reddit post I made in the league of legends subreddit a few years back about adding an option to dull the animations in the game for those who suffer from seizures (similar to a colorblind mode). Turns out 100's of people in that thread really hate people with "disabilities". I never understood this kind of hate. It's like complaining about ramps being made for those who need to use wheelchairs. It doesn't change anything about their lives, but seeing someone being helped apparently triggers them.

I need to stop reading old posts.

 

i think its the possibility that as soon as you add options to alter the game for a group of people with whatever quality that other groups could come forward wanting options for their whatever, which could then present the danger that so many options are being put in that you could have people experiencing the game very differently or that the original quality of the game is so obscured in customization that the original appeal is gone. i think maybe wording it in a way like colorblind mode or whatever to be easy on the eyes for everyone would be better than saying colorblind mode because i have could have a seizure. although that is a fairly isolated issue and one that directly relates to how the game is viewed, i think its the idea that this will open the gates for everyone to have their issue addressed that is alarming. and i cant say i dont agree with that concern, however i also dont know what other issues there are to be accounted for or if this isnthe only one. not that this has anything to do with me since i dont play that game or apparently any other that fosters this kind of argument.

 

Implementing an option to make certain animations less violently flashy/bright while still communicating where the actual hit box is, at least to me seems like something that is worth the extra manpower. Riot always talks about the importance of clarity, so allowing those with seizure disorders to experience things without having the natural disadvantage of their body essentially shutting down, is a huge deal. It doesn't give us an advantage. It gives us an even chance when possible.

I'm not saying riot has to do this (and I wasn't when I made that Reddit thread years ago). I'm merely saying now that the HORRIBLE things being said towards those with disabilities is neither called for, nor is it acceptable.

 

well i didnt look at what they said and I dont really want to bc id like to think the people arguing against it are doing so from a level headed thoughtful position but im sure thats not the case

 

I used whatever item boosts you too level 25 but I'm still doing the beginner level missions :P. It's less confusing than Fallout 4 which I just got, I literally have no idea what to do lol.
