Welp, this cheered me up significantly.

 

Just finished watching Banshee. Damn, that was emotional. I wasn't ready to let go of the characters and for the series to end.

I need another good show to invest in (tho nothing will ever top Banshee <3 ;-; )

I'm not really in the mood for anime at the moment. I'm more interested in live-action TV of the crime thriller/action kind.

Yeah, watched it way back when for a while. I was addicted to it, but it started to get silly so I fell away from it then it got cancelled. Heard there was a new take on the series which got cancelled after one season so I don't think I'll pick that up lol.

Yo I actually started watching Stranger Things last night! I'm on episode 4. I'm enjoying it. Pleasantly surprised but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with it. With the amount of people I have seen praising it to the high heavens I will say that it suffers from being a biT overrated. :u

But I'll check out True Detective and Marcella. Thanks guys!

I have to add Justified and Dexter to my to-watch list also, so I should be sweet for a few months. c:

Stranger Things is interesting because it's structurally what I've been wanting to replace exorbitantly long films that still feel too compressed, but at the same time I don't particularly like anything else about it. It's not like I think it's bad or anything, it's just not something I think I looked forward to the next episode of, delved into the world of, will really think about ever again, or remember, or hear other people talking about five years down the line, or ever rewatch. Yeah, it's incredibly overhyped, but I think I get why so many people in my general age group are into it. It's like Sophistipop or something.
