    I've been looking around many sites and none of them seem to agree on one subject: Does Sora acctually get new keyblades or does he only get new keychains that change the look of the kingdom key?

    From what I have heard, it was the keychains that marked the Keyblades appearance.

    But, I'm not sure. I think he did an interview that had an answer.

    They're keychains.

    If they were Keyblades, obviously whoever decides who gets a Keyblade must have severely lowered their standards.

    As it's been said, they're keychains. It's shown throughout the games that Sora recieves a keychain to attach to the Kingdom Key, such as Kairi's charm (which turns it into the Oathkeeper).
