The Melodries of the Gullwings: Final Fantasy IX/X-2

Yuri looked to Dagger then to Ramuh. "You aren't here just to inform of us Sir Ramuh, I believe you are here for something else." Yuri said to the Eidolon.

 

Raumh changed to his true form. "You are right, young man. I shall put the girl to a test. If you past, I shall help you." Jecht said, "And if she doesn't, then you won't help anyway." Raumh looked at him, "So you are the Final Aeon from another world."

 

"The Final Aeon? Eidolons?" Tidus asked confused as Yuri looked at Tidus, he still didn't remember. "Powerful beings Tidus...all right Sir Ramuh, I know Dagger can pass this test." He said to the Eidolon as Zidane nodded. "So bring it on!"

 

Raumh explained the rules, Dagger must all five manifestations of him in the forest and tell the part of the 'Hero's Story' from each one. Dagger nodded and accepted the test. She looked at everyone, "I'm sorry. I know we must hurry...."

 

"It's okay Dagger, it's something you must do and as friends, we gotta help each other." Yuri said to her as Zidane nodded. "Then let's go an dgte it doe quickly." He said to them.

 

"Thanks, everyone! Lets go!" She changed back to Thief, and explored the forest, finding each part of the story.

 

The group gathered hwere Ramuh was stationed as they stood behind to watch her.

 

Dagger told the story of a man who helped a group of troops defeat a empire and was killed to save them, but no one told his daughter, Dagger believed that making one's own choices, someone could be a hero. Raumh smiled and changed to a Period

 

"She chosen wisely." Yuri said and Zidane looked to him. "How?" He asked as Yuri spoke. "The hero was but a human, he isn't someone who is all powerful so Dagger chose 'Human' to represent how frail humans can be." he answered.

 

Everyone left the forest when Jecht noticed some lights head for Lindblum.

Seymour was smiling at the destruction and held out a dark emerald. "Feel my pain! Come, Anima!" Rising up from the ground was a monstrous creature wrapped in chains. "Oblivion!" Seymour shouted, and the aeon obeyed as a much darker version of Anima appeared and attack the city. Seymour turned to the queen, "Would you like to finish it, your majesty?"

 

"I would be pleased to, Come, Atomos!" Brahne called out as soon, Atomos, the Void EIdolon started to swallow up parts of the city, including some guard as well, btu Lindblum was still left in tact.

 

It was too much for Dagger and she fell to her knees, Jecht thought the voices of Anima and Atomos as they vanished in his head, Braska gave Yuna a staff and they, along with Lenne, performed a sending for those who died.

 

Zidane touched Dagger's shoulder as Yuri looked on at Lindblum's fate. "That's just...too much to force a surrender." He said solemnly as he closed his eyes in respect for those who died as Tidus crossed his arms. "Why does this seem similar?" Tidus asked himself in hsi thoughts but shrugged it off.

 

Yuna, Braska, and Lenne finished the sending and headed for Lindblum. Dagger accepted Zidane's comfort and followed them.

 

They reached the entarnce to fidn the town in ruins. "Whoa...it's probably best if Vivi stays hidden." Zidane said adn Yuri had to agree with him on that point. "The fact Brahne uses Black Mages is somethign that would backfire on us since Lindblum thinks any Black Mage woudl be a spy or a weapon to watch out for any counterattacks." He said thoughtfully.

"Then what should we do?" Tidus asked as he crossed his arms and Yuri looked at him. "Get information from the Regent and sicover why Brahne attacked in the first place as well as leaving it in thsi condition, for they, Lindblum had to surrender to ensure it's surivial, nothing would take on those creatures." Yuri said calmly and looked at Dagger. "Sorry Dagger but we just can't ignore the fact that Alexandria's best airship which is used for royalty attacked with this much damage, so I'm afraid you'll have to accept your mother's currently not who she was."

 

"It would be best if I hid too. They would probably think of me as a spy or something." Jecht said as he and Vivi hid. Yuna gasped at the sight, Rikku sighed.

 

They walked through the destruction as Tidus was amazed. "They caused this much damage?" he asked in surprise as Yuri looked around the buildings. "That just shows Alexandria isn't a force to be taken lightly, but how they gained the resources and started their plans is beyond imagination, if what Sir Ramuh says is true, Alexandria isn't just an army looking to conquer nations but something else entirely, how they managed to gather those creatures I'll never know."

"I thought you'd have the answers to everything Yuri." Tidus said as Yuri chuckled. "Don't look to others for knowledge Tidus, sometimes, you gotta think on your own." He answered as Tidus cupped his chin in thought. "What Yuri says is true but...what he said sounds almost like something someone else told me, nah, it's probably just nothing."

 

Terya heard something and found Minister Artina, "Minister!!!!!"

 

Yuri noticed the Minister when Terya pointed it out and the man did seem worse for wear, his eyes wer shown that they experienced was something that shouldn't even have happened. "Is the Regent safe? We wish to talk with him." Yuri asked as the Minister bowed. "Of course, please follow me everyone." The minister started to lead the party.

 

Everyone followed him to the castle, Dagger looked very worried about the Regent.
