The Melodries of the Gullwings: Final Fantasy IX/X-2

Zidane wodnered what it was. "Probably nothing interesting then." He said as Yuri had noticed Dagger's movement and Tidus spoke up. "What about yourself then Zidane?" he asked as Zidane thought about it.

"That's a thief's secret." he answered and Yuri sweatdropped. "He stole women's hearts didn't he?" He thought to himself.

 

The entrance was sealed and a strange machine, everyone began to run. "That thing's not a machina, is it?!" Yuna asked, Rikku shouted at her, "You should know what a machina looks like, Yunie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets just run!!!!!!!!"

 

Tidus was running and seemed to be keeping his pace steady. "Hah! Try and catch us now!" He said as Yuri swatdropped. "He's clearly further ahead than us..." he thought to himself as they kept on running before looking behind him. "It'll be pointless to attack it right now, hopefully, the exit of this bridge will steer it off course." He thought to himself, Quina was surprisely runnign fast.

 

It fell through a hole in the ground, everyone gasped for air.

 

Yuri wiped the sweat from his forehead as Tidus breathed a bit. "Well we got away from that thing rather well." he said and Yuri looked at him. "For now at least..." He said panting

 

A woman in a yellow dress appeared, she wielded a large ax.

 

"Who are you?" Yuri asked her, as he got into stance, ready for transformation, preparing his Cyclone Sphere.

 

"I'm here for the pendant Princess Garnet and to 'take care' of the black mage traveling with her." She said, Yuna chose the Gunner Sphere. Jecht took off his cloak and changed to the Final Aeon. Dagger changed to Psychic.

 

"You can try..." Yuri answered as Zidane prepared his daggers at the ready and Yuri slotted his Cyclone sphere inside, closing his eyes suddenly and falling to the ground as Yuna's transformation took place. "Let's go." The left eye flashed as Yuri's vocie was called.

 

Jecht immediately used Fira Sword, Rikku attacked with Dagger. Yuna pointed her gun and shot.

 

Yuri followed Yuna's movements, even down to the finger as Tidus ran at the woman. "Out of the way out old man!" he said as he performed a series of flips before using the moumentum wo swing down the Brotherhood, executing Spiral cut.

 

The woman tried to block the Spiral Cut.

 

Tidus jumped back. "Heh!" he said as he brushed hsi thumb against his nose as Zidane ran in swiftly and attacking the ax to keep her on the defense as Yuri reached for Gunner sphere and slot it in teh gun, as it spoke. "Gunner! Final Attack!"

"Trigger Aerobuster!" The two said as bullets compressed by air, increased the speed into the ax, sending it flying. "I suggest you retreat before you get hurt." The left red eye flashed as Yuri's voice was heard.

 

The woman groaned and ran off, Jecht returned to normal.

 

Yuri removed the Cyclone sphere as teh transformaton shattered and he awoke as Tidus voiced a question. "What's this about a pendant?" He asked suddenly

 

Yuna asked for Dagger's necklace and showed it to Tidus. "That woman was after this, Alexandria's National Jewel, the kingdom's scared treasure."

 

"It's kinda...big." Tidus said obivously as Yuri chuckled. "Well, it's Alexandria's symbol of royalty as well if I had to guess, I'm sure Dagger is used to wearing that thing throughout her life." He answered and Tidus thought about it. "So...if anyone had this, they'd get alot?"

"Exactly,, if something as valuable as this was stolen from the castle, the royal family would use any means to get it back, even if you given the option of dead or alive." Yuri said seriously.

 

Lenne was quiet, thinking of her village's 'treasure' and wondering if it was the same as the pendant as Dagger put it back.

 

"So...onwards then?" Tidus asked as Zidane nodded. "Onwards we go." He said and looked at Lenne

 

She guided them through a maze of a mine and stepped out into a new land. Yuna looked around, "No mist at all........"
