The Melodries of the Gullwings: Final Fantasy IX/X-2

Tidus looked at Yuna then to the priest as he finished his speech.

 

Yuna took his hand and smiled.

 

Tidus smiled back but nervously as they left.

 

Yuna waved at the others as she left with Tidus.

Where the twin dwarfs were guarding the exit, a young girl with a horn on her head and a moogle with a fur collar were hiding behind the counter, waiting for the right moment.

 

Zidane and Dagger were nearing the twin dwarves as did Yuri and Rikku.

 

The girl grabbed some food and ran for it.

 

"What was that?" Zidane asked as Yuri cupped his chin. "A thief?" he asked in thought, the little one was certainly quick on her toes as the dwarves parted away, indicating they themselves couldn't go any further

 

"Something wrong?" Yuna asked, walking to them.

 

Yuri turned his head. "Just had a small purple haired girl run away past these guards with food." he answered her as ZIdane and Dagger went on ahead.

 

Lenne sighed when she heard Yuri's description of the thief when she and Shuyin walked up. Yuna wondered what he meant when a scream was heard ahead.

 

Zidane saw the same girl who was stuck on a branch over a gap as the moogle flapped it's wings as Quina approached. "Is it food?" It asked

 

Rikku tried to hold in her laughter as Lenne sighed at her. "Don't eat me!" The girl shouted.

 

"You've heard her Quina, she's not edible." Zidane said as Quina was disappointed. "Then I eat moogle!" It said as the moogle left quickly and Quina followed suit, jumping over the ledge, causing a small quake and ran after it as Zidane caught the girl. "You all right?" he asked her.

 

The girl blushed as she held in Zidane's arms. Lenne walked up to them, "I thought Mrina was watching over you."

 

Zidane looked at Lenne. "You know her?" He asked her.

 

Lenne nodded, the girl jumped down. "I'm Eiko, but you should introduce yourself before talking to a lady." Lenne sighed as Jecht and the others sweatdropped, Jecht said, "But you introduced yourself first."

 

Yuri had to struggle not laughing at Jecht obivous sentence. "If a lady steals food from villagers, then she can't be considered a lady at all." He stated.

 

"Lenne, I told Mrina where I was going, but she got all worried, so I just left." The girl told Lenne, she sighed. "This is my younger foster sister, Eiko."

"Yuna."

"Rikku."

"Paine."

 

"Yuri." Yuri said as he looked at teh path ahead and Zidane spoke up. "ZIdane, the one who ran after your moogle was Quina."

 

"Eiko." Eiko smiled but realized something. "Oh, no! Lenne, s/he probably going to eat Mog!" They ran after Quina, Jecht shrugged and decided to introduce himself later.
