The Melodries of the Gullwings: Final Fantasy IX/X-2

"I...We need your help in rescuing Garnet." Zidane said to the older man and Steiner nodded. "Your fire magic was incredibly useful against the creature from earler and woudl no doubt prove effective against teh beasts of this forest." He said to them

 

"Sure, we'll help ya. I'm looking for someone anyway, so if I stick you, I'll probably find him."

"I..... I'll try to help."

 

"Thank you kind sirs, you shall not regret this." Steiner said and looked at the black mage. and zidane spoke up. "So, what do we call you?" He asked them.

 

"Name's Jecht."

"My name is Vivi."

 

Steiner ebnt down to Vivi and whispered something in his ear as ZIdane left the room. "That's almost everyone, now just for the ladies." Zidane said to Yuri and he nodded as they waited for the others to come.

 

Rikku and Angel were getting along as they waited outside the airship, Yuna and the soldier, who turned to be her father, Braska, watched with Paine.

Vivi wondered what Steiner was asking him to do.

 

Steiner asked Vivi about Magic Sword

 

Vivi nodded and agreed to do it. Jecht smiled.

 

Zidane and the others were abotu to head outside of the airship until Blank stopped Zidane and handed him a vial of the same medience and Zidane thanked him as they walked outside, seeing the others.

"Would you guys like to come along, we're off to save Garnet." Zidane asked them.

 

Yuna nodded, the others nodded as well. Jecht sighed and stepped outside.

 

Zidane grinned and walked onwards, leading the group.

 

Everyone followed him, gripping their weapons.

 

SOon they came across the entrance to the boss of teh Evil Forest and right in the wall, being held by vines was Garnet as Steiner called out. "Princess! I'm here to save you!" He declared and had his sword at the ready.

Zidane unsheathed his daggers. "Cool it Rusty, we got to work together, let's go!" Zidane calle dout as Yuri had quickly unsheathed his sword and held it in his hand.

 

Yuna and the Gullwings pulled out their weapons, Jecht unsheathed his sword, Angel pulled out her crossbow, Braska and Vivi took out their staffs and stood ready.

 

The Boss had it's attention on them and swung it's tenctacles at them as Zidane, Steiner and Yuri avoided them and Steiner stabbed hsi sword into one to hold it down as Yuri quickly paced his steps and charged at the flower only to see it about to spray something.

"Whoa!" He skidded on the path and quickly jumped back as it sprayed poison "That was lucky...if this thing has it's minion's seeds, that won't go well since the only vial is for the Princess." He thought to himself as Zidane was swift on his feet, taking a slice of the boss before flipping back.

 

Vivi cast Fire and all the sword wielder's blades glowed with the bright orange flame. Jecht smiled and sliced at the plant, Yuna did Trigger Happy on the plant, Rikku swiftly stole it.

 

Steiner striked down with a Fire Sword as did Yuri, further inflicting damage as Blank had soon arrived. "Glad I caught up with you!" he said to Zidane who just smiled. "Join in Blank!" He replied as Blank took a few swipes before the monster soon died in it's place.

Steiner ran to where the Princess was. "I'm coming for you Princess!" He tried to climb up the vines only to fail as Yuri looked at him. "It's your heavy armor that's weighing you down you know." He pointed out and climbed up the vines with surprisingly relative ease as if he climbed up many things in his life as Steiner had his hands out while Yuri cut Garnet free and she fell straight into Steiner's arms as Yuri jumped off.

Zidane walked to her and handed her the vial. "Drink it, you'll feel better." He said and Steiner nodded in concern. "It may taste bad Princess but please try to drink it all."

Yuri heard something and looked at where the boss was and the ground opening up as small monsters leapt out. "Er guys...let's get out of here and fast!" Yuri said as the new creatures of the forest eyed them somehow and Steiner ran with the Princess in his arms and surprisingly quick, perhaps he was motivated as the others followed, running from the creatures

Zidane and Blank ran side by side and Zidane stopped as he turned around. "Something's wrong..." He said and Blank was confused. "What?"

"The whole forest is chasing us..." Zidane turned to Blank. "It's up to you to take care of everybody." Zidane started running again and Blank was confused. "The hell is that supposed to mean?"

Zidane kept running as he was nearly caught by one of the creatures a steh forest begun to petrify itself but Blank pushed him away and was caught and couldn't escape so he did the only thing he could, he threw the map as hard he could as Zidane ran and caught it as he leapt over vines and leapt for the exit as he rolled outside and looked to see everyone else escaped already but the entrance was covered by vines and soon, became petrified.

 

Jecht sighed and looked around. Yuna shook her head and sighed, dusting herself off, Rikku did the same thing. Braska and Paine began to set up camp, Vivi gasped for air and Angel was doing the same.

 

Zidane banged his fist against the entrance. "Blank! No! Damnit!" He said, unset his brother and also comrade was left behind as Yuri walked to Camp and sat upon a rock that was sittable ad he stabbed his sword in the ground and then placed his hands on the end of the head with his head on top of his hands.

Steiner had placed the Princess in the tent to rest as he stood guard.

Zidane soon arrived as Steiner pointed at him. "This is all your fault you thief, I'm going to excort the Princess back to the castle!" He said with determination.

Yuri sighed and noticed Zidane was about to point something out but Yuri beat him to it. "The Princess as you so call her, cannot move at all right now until all the seeds are gone then her body needs time to rest and relax, if you try to move her now, it'll only add stress to her and her recovery will be even slower."

Zidane nodded at Yuri. "And besides Rusty, from what I hear, the South annd North Gates are closed, so you don't have a way back."

Steiner hated to admit it but Zidane and Yuri were correct.

 

"I don't think we've been properly introduced, I'm Yuna." Yuna smiled. Rikku grinned, her tail swaying slightly.

"Rikku!"

"Paine."

"Name's Jecht."

"I'm Vivi."

"Braska."

"I'm Angel, the thief of Alexandria!"
