The Sanctuary

Eva shivered, her feathers ruffling as she stared from the maniac to her foster father. What was going on? Please don't let him be like Larz...squeaking slightly, she shuffled on Victor's shoulder, grumbling nervously to herself.

 

Attop the roofs that bordered the alleyway, Larenzo dangled his feet over the edge and looked down at the spectacle. Things were about to heat up.

"Go on Drake, have a little fun."

 

"remember you started this" Drake said as he pulled his arm away from his back. His arms were equiped with a pair of sharp claws

 

"screw this." Victor murmured.

Spinning the gun on his wrist, the director grabbed the stock with his right hand and the barrel with his left. It was still hot, but he'd manage.

"bring it, monster."

 

Drake smirked and jumped straight at Victor. He raise one of his arms and slashed downwards at him

 

Eva flapped, gliding to the ground and backing up, keeping quiet. She wouldn't be an asset in this fight, not with her wing/hand, but she would jump in if it came to it. Backing up into the shadows of a roof, she waited, her eyes glowing.

 

Victor blocked, having the claws strike the gun's grip. The man spun the gun forcing the claw downwards and swung is stock at the boy.

 

Drake smirked and blocked it with the other hand "looks like somebody ran out of bullets" Drake said as he raised his other hand in an attempt to slash him

 

Victor dropped to the ground, sending a kick towards drake's ankle.

"I have no need to waste bullets on the likes of you. Give up while you can!"

 

Drake jumped over his feet and avoided the attack."give up now? but the fun hasn't even started yet" Drake said and began to laugh as he slashed one claw straight as Victor and slashed with the other claw soon after

 

The claws missec, but instead landed on either side of Victor's head.

"Oh, so it's fun you're after. Is that why you joined my son? Is that why you have the same smile as him?"

 

"maybe it is and maybe it isn't" Drake said and tried to grab his head and headbutt him

 

This was his chance. Reaching into his pocket, Victor pulled out a green slug shot, and loaded it into the breech. Aiming upwards, he put the barrel on drake's stomach

"Let's make a blood fountain together."

 

Drake looked down at the gun near that was pressed against his stomach. Instead of showing fear he began to laugh hard

 

Victor looked up at his foe, pushing the end of the barrel into the manic's stomach.

"Well, manic, any last words before I blow you sky high? Any words of forgivness or regret for this world? Anyway, before you go I have something to ask. What happened to the other gifts, how many survived and their fates?

 

Drake smirked "oh so the great Victor Kendrith, creator of the ORPHANAGE wants to know how much survives. Well let me say that me and the other manics survived. Also the other surviving gifted were devoured by my friends" Drake said as he smirked and quickly kicked the gin out of his hand and jumped backwards. "I would kill you now but I think Larenzo would like that privilege" Drake said as he kicked a dusty box that was close to his feet straight at Victor

 

Not wanting to miss his chance, Victor fired the round of towards Drake. Unfortuately, the crate blocked the shot, splintering to dust. By the time the debris cleared the air, the manic was gone.

"Damn." Victor ground, pounding the ground with his fist. "lost him again."

 

Drake ran as he got away and smirekd as he ran up to Larenzo "well that was fun" Drake said

 

Since the man had fired the gun and she had been completely ignored, Rei dodged behind several of the boxes the man she tackled knocked over. She still had no idea what was going on, but rather than face someone with a gun, she quickly ran back to the opening of the alley, meeting back up with Leon. She stood against the wall next to him, but then slid down to the ground, growling slightly in pain. The cut on her leg had reopened when she tackled that man, and it was now bleeding again.
"Damn my rushing into fights..." Rei murmured softly.
