Geryl then went over to Tegoshi and checked his wound and pulse to confirm death.

 

Silax laid on the ground thinking, "I may not have a heart....but it still hurts...." he said closing his eyes, "now...its finally finished....." he said with a sigh, "besides....after all this....I am just a replica.....Garxena deserves better....."

 

you should still go see Garxena. Geryl said sitting down. Where's teh real Silax? He asked.

 

"I was busy." Dexeon muttered.

 

"Whatever. I don't care." Kai turned her attention back to Garxena.

 

Silax closed his eyes, "I am the real Silax....the darkness has left me...." he said wincing, "your right....I must atleast say good bye to her....I have that much strength left....." he said holding out his arm, "if you are willing to help me....."

 

Geryl pulled him up and then helped him to reach Garxena's room. When they entered Geryl set Silax next to Garxena and then stood back to watch.

"I know you don't." Dexeon said and then moved out of Silax's way.

BIC: Kai moved over for Silax to have more room.

BIC: Silax opened his eyes and turned his head, "Garxena...." he said weakly, he reached out and gently touched her cheek, "I'm sorry for dirtying this room with my darkness....it would have been better for me to die out there....." he sighed taking his hand back, "how is she Kai....."

 

Katara was on the roof and she looked up at the sky. She felt the cool breeze against her face. She wasn't sure what she should do... or what she could do... to help everyone.

 

"I'm not sure..." Kai confessed. "Silax... is there anything I can do for you...?" She asked.

 

"I'm sorry you must carry this burden Kai...." Silax said closing his eyes, "but could you tell her....tell her what happened....how shes finally free of Takeshi.....unfornately at a cost I wish she didn't have to pay...." he sighed tears slowly falling from his eyes.

 

Kai placed her darkness shrouded hands on Silax's upper arms. "I'll do what I can to make sure you can tell her that." She tried to smile but her own eyes were tearing up.

 

"Now don't you cry for me Kai...." Silax said opening his eyes and gently reaching up, touching her cheek, "I know we didn't get off to the right start....but I'm glad here at the end....we can actually be friends...." he said withdrawing his hand and wincing.

 

"It's not the end! I won't let you go!" Kai's cheeks were streaked with tears. "She fought to live for you, now do the same for her!" Her hands flared and she moved them to Silax's stomach and the area where his heart should have been. "Please...."

 

Silax gently took Kai's hand, "please Kai....don't cry for me....a replica doesn't deserve this...." he smiled sadly, "doomed to eternal darkness....that is my destiny...my fate....." he said looking up at the ceiling, "why did Garxena have to fall for someone like me....a replica...a fake....a pawn of the darkness....atleast now....perhaps she can find that person...."

 

"Forget fate... Forget destiny... You are that person for her...." Kai's shoulders shook from sobs. "Don't say it like it doesn't matter..."

Voices...? Whoes voice am I hearing...? Garxena moaned. Everything hurts... What happened...?

 

Silax sighed, "no...I can't be......" he said gently letting go of Kai's hand, he grabbed his chest, "you know...it doesn't make sense...not having a heart....yet feeling so much pain...." he said gently touching his wound and examining the dampness on his fingers, "its not even blood....merely darkness....."
