The Ultimate Organization- Division 2 (Continued!)

The darkness faded from Kai's hands. "There are times when I wish I didn't have a heart..." She wiped her eyes. "Silax, Garxena fell for you just the way you are. You don't have to be anything else for her."

I can't think straight... Garxena tried to recognize the voices.

 

Geryl looked at them the three people and looked around sensing Ex nearby.

 

Silax sighed and closed his eyes, "Kai....I don't know how much longer I have...." he said quietly, "this attack that I used....it claims both the enemy and the user....there is no way to stop it...." he said opening his eyes and turning his head towards her, "I'm sorry....but to keep her safe....it had to be done....."

 

"You didn't have to do it alone.... We could have... I could have helped... I wanted to help..." Kai lowered her head. "There has to be a way to stop it."

 

"We didn't need anyone else ending up like this...." Silax said gritting his teeth, "please Kai....take care of Garxena....I know you will....." he sighed, "the darkness is calling me back.....save your strength....Telren still needs to be dealt with..."

 

Kai gently grabbed Silax's hands. She just looked him in the eyes, having no words left to say.

 

Katara's eyes widened. Something strange was going on. I have a bad feeling... Maybe I should go see if everyone's okay... She thought and headed down the stairs to Garxena's room.

 

"Let Katara know I'm sorry as well....." Silax sighed, "but always remember....I'll always be apart of the darkness.....so I'm not completely gone...." he said as what appeared a steam consisting of darkness started to flow off of him, "ironic.....I'm not even a nobody yet this is still happening...."

 

Kai shut her eyes. She'd seen death before, but not like this. "Silax.... You don't... You- you can't.... I..." She opened her eyes again to look at him.

 

Katara got to Garxena's room. She saw that the door was still open, so she walked inside. However, she stopped when she saw Silax and Kai. "S-Silax...?!"

 

Silax closed his eyes and turned his head, "if only I had faded before all of this...." he said as slow tears of darkness fell from his eyes, "Katara....don't cry for me.....please...." he said as he became more and more transparent as more and more darkness seemed to leave through the vapor.

 

Kai released Silax's hands.

Garxena's eyes flickered open. "Kai...? Silax...?"

 

Silax shot his eyes open at Garxena's voice, "no...not now......" he said, "Kai....please tell her why I had to do this....please...." he sighed as his presence slowly faded away completely into darkness.

 

"Silax!!" Katara ran over to him and Kai, but his body had faded away. She felt tears fill her eyes. What's going on?! She thought.

 

Garxena was a bit slow to react. "Do what...?" She tried to sit up but winced and laid back down. "I'm sure I heard Silax.... Where is he...? Has he left again? When will he be back?"

Kai felt as though her heart was being squeezed. "Garxena...."

Garxena forced herself to sit. "I know that tone. Kai... What happened...?"

 

Katara bit her lip to fight back tears. No... Silax said not to cry... She thought and then looked down. I'm sure he'll be back. He can't be gone... T-There's no way...

 

Kairi walked after Katara just as Silax faded. Her eyes got big and she ran over to Garxena. Kneeling down by her she unconsiously took her hand.

 

Kai's eyes rested on the ring on Garxena's finger. "Silax has..." She paused for a moment. "He's gone, Garxena.... I'm so sorry...."

"What? Gone?" Garxena took a moment to understand. "You.... you don't mean it... You're joking... Kai, please tell me you're joking...." She met her sister's eyes, tears filling her own.

Kai solemly shook her head.

Garxena took her hands back from Kairi and ran out of her room.

 

Kairi at Kai, tears starting in her eyes too, "We can't let her do this one by herself, what if she hurts herself?" she asked, worried for her friend. "Her hearts breaking, she might do anything!"

 

Katara watched as Garxena ran out. She thought about running after her to try and comfort her, but decided that she'd need a bit of time alone. A tear slipped down Katara's cheek. Silax... What happened... Why... How... She couldn't help it anymore. Tears began to flow down her cheeks. I'm sorry, Silax... Hearing what Kairi said, she looked up. She's right! What if she hurts herself?!
