How I know this? Read the Ansem reports in kh 2. This gives out a lot of hidden info on kh3 and reveals things left unsaid from the previous games.

Anyhow, I think the keyblade could be a great prospect.

The reason why it didn't appear, was probably because the game that encompassed the essential idea WAS KH II. Therefore, it did not need to be mentioned, since that was already one of the main goals of KH II.

Just a little more perspectve. ;)
