The War of the Nobodies

Lexah turned and saw the sun, "It's beautiful" she murmered.

 

Phenox put his arm around her. "I love this place. It makes me feel almost human."

 

Lexah smiled dreamily, "I know exactly what you mean, it's amazing"

 

"You know, this world has no day or night. Just this." Phenox gently pulled her closer.

 

"Really? It makes things a lot simpler I guess" She slowly moved towards Phenox.

 

Phenox stared at the sunset. "I try to think of what type of leader I wanna be... i'm supposed to be like Xemnas... but..."

 

Lexah nodded and smiled "I know. I think you're going to be a better leader than Xemnas and make everyone proud to have you as leader"

 

"Thanks..." Phenox sighed. "I still remember the day I was chosen..." Clear as day, Phenox could see Xemnas pointing at him.
You... Xemnas had said.

 

"Were you glad you were chosen or did you with he'd chosen somebody else?" Lexah asked quietly.

 

"If you want the truth..." Phenox paused. "...I really wish he would have chosen someone else. I mean, look at this." He tugged at his silver hair. "This used to be brown."

 

"Maybe. I don't think anyone else would do a better job. If you could go back in time and change it, would you?" Lexah looked at him carefully.

 

Phenox looked back at her. "No. Because no one can do a better job. Xemnas must have known that."

 

Lexah smiled, "You'd have made him proud"

 

"Yeah, I guess." Phenox hugged her. "Thanks. I'm glad I have someone to talk to."

 

She hugged him back "Glad I could help"

 

Phenox gave her a quick kiss on the lips.

 

Lexah's eyes widened in suprise before she smiled and quickly kissed him back.

 

Phenox hugged her tightly a little longer.

 

Lexah's heart was going crazy inside her, she was almost suprised it hadn't burst out of her chest, but she just smiled and enjoyed every moment of the embrace.

 

Phenox kissed her again, but this time, deeper and longer.
