Kingdom Hearts The water in the intro

Yeah, I agree. I bet Sora has magical powers and he likes to confuse people. No, it's just probably a quick way to sum up Sora's feelings. The KH2 intro is like this in the same sort of way, it's just summing up 2 games in 5 minutes. Not easy.

Yeah, I've always noticed that. I don't think it's meant to be taken literally. It's just supposed to show emotions and it's not really supposed to make any sense.

 

Actually, I just thought of it as a dream and foreshadowing of events that happen later in the game.

Riku holding out his hand with the wave of water that would crash over him...later, he holds out his hand to Sora and says he's not afraid of the Darkness, and then he ends up falling to Darkness. Sora gets swept away.

Kairi he's with but he can't really get to her totally and he goes to reach for her but falls away into the water, losing her and leaving her behind. Later he ends up having to leave her on Destiny Islands while he goes off to search for Riku.

The falling from the sky thing while Kairi is on the beach looking down and then looks up..he does that in KH2 with Riku, and they return to their world where Kairi was waiting on the beach.

I'm sure there were other things, but that's more or less how I took the sequence: That it was his dream and a future vision in a way.

I definitely noticed that too. But the introduction is so juxtaposed it's no surprise they didn't match up.

 

I do agree that they were going for some sort of foreshadowing in the intro to the events that come later. But then again, the brain makes connections on its own to things.

But then again, they could have been. I'd like to think we can each form our interpretation of what it means. If it's just a bunch of pretty moving images...that's fine. If you think it's foreshadowing, that's fine too.

I think it was on purpose. The whole intro is supposed to be weird, like other things in the game, they change quickly.

 

So in a game that has flying rocket ships, talking animals, adventures into books and having to lock the Doors to the Worlds with a giant key, the thing that you pick out as weird is that the water is shallower than it was before :P

I Love your interpretation 0_0 I had never really thought about it being a vision of what was coming, though thinking about it, that does make sense.

I had noticed that about the water, but I didn't worry about it not making sense xD IMO it was clear it was dream like, especially when he fell through the sky. I don't think it is meant to make sense at that point of the game, it is more to get you interested and to get your mind ready xD​

 

I agree, I did think that the intro was Sora's dream when he was (laying?) on the beach in Destiny Islands, maybe that was what he was dreaming?

The thing I noticed at the beginning is Sora's armpit while his sleeve flows with the water. Now, that's the only thing I can think of when I see that beginning! I didn't notice that the shorts only go upto his knees, though...
