The world of Laifel

"Uh," Lanan reluncantly walked over to her and knelt down, putting one arm behind her knees. He then picked her up, the other arm holding her head and shoulders. He tried not to look at her. He usually wouldn't have had a problem with this, but she was a princess. He hoped that was all there was to the awkardness about it. "Let's go," he said to Gemini and Sameire's companion. He then took off. He wasn't as fast on two legs as he was on four, but he was still faster than a human. He molded wind to push him, but he was still pretty tired and his speed only barely increased.

 

Gemini took off after him with Eve right behind her. She kept her pace the same as his. "Don't kill yourself Lanan." she chided, seeing how hard he was working to run faster.

 

Sameire shut her eyes. The first burst of speed was a bit shocking - not to mention that it was dark out now and she was scared out of her wits. It then came to her that she probably shouldn't have been so quick to trust Lanan. She curled her arms close to her chest.

OOC: Oh yeah.... Eve.... I forgot about him. ><

 

OOC: JediNinja went on a road trip or something, he'll be back in a couple of days.
BIC:
The wind hitting Lanan in his face felt refreshing. He was slightly panting as they ran. Hearing Gemini behind him, he yelled back, "Just try to keep up, little girl!" Although she wasn't carrying anyone and could probably outrun him in the moment.

 

Gemini laughed and caught up with him. "Hey, I'm trying to be nice here and not leave you in the dust, old man." she said, smiling towards Sameire as she seemed afraid. "Sameire, it's okay, you're safe." she tried to assure the princess.

 

Tristan fell asleep soon after he closed his eyes. It started out as a peaceful dream. His brother was still alive and so was his mother. His Father was loving and the people still loved him. Sameire was in the flower garden. Her and Tristan were having another one of their competitions. It was a memory of the old days. when there was nothing that Tristan had to worry about. when the world was calm and ever so peaceful.
Tristan's mother looked down on Sameire and Tristan from a balcony above. Her smile was so loving and full of happiness. Tristan looked up at her and smiled. How he loved his mother. He didn't ever want her to leave him. They would always be together. He knew it in his heart, except, something seemed wrong.
Tristan stared at his sister for a moment. Sammy was not alive when his mother was around. His mother had died while giving birth to her.
The sunny sky suddenly filled up with dark clouds. They hung ominously above the castle. A crackle of thunder hit the castle tower, causing pieces of stone to fly all about.
Tristan looked both to his sister and mother as a great boom of thunder shook the palace. Neither of them seemed to take note of what was going on. More bolts of lightening struck the palace, sending more pieces of stone into the air. Tristan took cover under the balcony. he looked back to his sister and beckoned her to follow. all she did was smile at him. Tristan called to his mother, she smiled as well before saying, "I love you."
Lightening struck the balcony. No not the balcony, but his mother. His mother was dead. fried to a crisp. Tristan panicked and once again beckoned his sister to follow. She still stood there similing as a piece of stone flew off the balcony and crushed her to a pulp.
There was a booming laughter coming from the sky. It was taunting Tristan, teasing Tristan. And then suddenly, everything was normal again. The sun was out, and his sis and mother still lived. Tristan was about to release a sigh of relief before the dark clouds returned. Once again, Tristan watched in horror as his sister and mother died in front of him.
again it happened. Again. Again. Again. And all the while that booming laughter kept taunting him.
Tristan sat up suddenly. His breath was heavy. He was back in the sewers. It was just a dream. Another nightmare.

 

Sameire mumbled a meek 'okay' to Gemini. She hated the dark. She could only deal with it when she was inside four, sturdy walls... or with her brother. She just wished that the sun would come up soon.

 

Eleanor snapped her eyes open when she heard Tristan's quick movement. She had both her daggers out in an instant.

"What is it?" she asked. "What's wrong?"

 

Ruby smiled cruely at Tristan. He obviously had a nightmare. She recognized the way his breathing changed in his sleep; it was the same as Master Luna's that one night. She then looked away, not wanting to compare scum like Tristan to Lanan.

Lanan laughed and answered Gemini sarcastically, "Oh, well you're sooo generous, then, aren't you?" He then looked down, not paying any attention to where he was going. He knew the way and his reflexes were fast enough to dodge obstacles. "Sorry if you're uncomfortable, Princess, but we need to get you to your brother fast. Our reasons for that maybe different than yours, but it's all for the best." He then frowned and looked ahead, not wanting her to see the sadness in his eyes. "Family should always be together," he mumbled, thinking of his parents.

 

ooc: I'm back, sorry I haven't been on, the internet wouldn't work in the new house. Recap Please.

 

Gemini saw the look he had as he said it and frowned alittle. I'll ask about that later. she thought to herself, adding it to her growing list of questions.

 

"Thank you both," Sameire managed to say. She was grateful that they were doing this for her; she'd have to thank them properly when she wasn't so scared.

 

Tristan turned his head to Eleanor. He was still a little shaken. He managed a weak smile. "Nothing, nothing's wrong."

Nas gave her master a concerned look. He was frightened about something, She could sense it, but what?

 

OOC: I'll post one on here in a few. Everybody else can add whatever I miss.
BIC:
Lanan smiled at Sameire without looking at her and replied, "No problem!" He then gripped her tight as the gate came into view. He still didn't feel like using the actual door. "Hold tight," he said, preparing to jump.

 

Sameire squeezed her eyes shut tighter, curling closer to Lanan. Was he serious about jumping?

 

"Must you lie to me?" Eleanor sighed, sheathing her weapons. "If you're not going to tell me now, just promise you'll keep things clear later."

 

Gemini wished Lanan wouldn't jump because she knew it would scare Sameire too much but she couldn't do anything about it. "Just breath, Sameire. It's not that high." she said, looking up and knowing she was lying as she crouched down to jump too.

 

"One, two, THREE!" At the count of three, Lanan jumped forward, crouching down and jumped, wind blowing him even higher and farther. He smiled and closed his eyes as he flew. He simply loved that feeling. Making a mental note to practice flying, he opened his eyes and used the wind again to slow his fall. He landed carefully. "Are you alright, Princess? Sorry for that last part..." he addressed Sameire, out of breath with a slight smile on his face.

 

Gemini jumped after him and landed on all fours in a feline manner. As she straightened up she looked at Sameire with concern on her face.

 

Tristan looked away from Eleanor. "I not lying. I just had a bad dream is all." Tristan lay back down and closed his eyes to go back to sleep. "just another bad dream." he mumbled softly.
