Eleanor sighed happily in her sleep; her nightmares finally faded to regular, incoherent dreams that didn't make sense or shape in her mind. Perfect, she dreamt. I'll finally get some decent rest now...

 

"Now I'm glad I can't see in the dark," Sameire mumbled. She took a small step back. "I'm not going in first."

 

"Yeah, seeing in the dark isn't always a nice thing." Gemini agreed, as she could see well in the dark and didn't like the looks of the sewer. "See you two down there." she said, thinking that someone had to go first, jumping down the hole and landing below. She immedately grabbed her nose and tried not to breath.

 

Eleanor stirred for a moment at the noise, but never opened her eyes, turning her head to bury her face against Tristan's stomach.

 

Tristan signaled Nas to take a look.

Nas nodded and left.

 

Ruby's head jerked up as Naserrea let. Could it be Massster Luna? She stood up and looked at the two humans, slightly disgusted and turned her head back into the distance. If it was Lanan, she'd be able to sense him soon enough, if not -her hands stretched into claws- she'd be ready.


Lanan looked at the princess and down the hole after Gemini, wrinkling his nose. "You want to go next?" He asked, looking around to make sure no one was watching them.

 

Sameire mustered her courage and jumped after Lanan and Gemini. "Ugh, it stinks down here."

 

Gemini nodded to Sameire's comment. She craned her neck to see down either way of them. "That way." she managed through her fingers as she was still trying not to breath through her nose or mouth. "Ruby I think." she added, not even making it a whole sentence.

 

Lanan smirked at Sameire, "YOu think it stinks down here? Trying being a Fairrel, it smells a lot worse for us." He then raised an eyebrow to Gemini, questioning her phrase, but heard someone coming to them quickly. That's what she means, He thought, baring his fangs and claws. He couldn't pick up the individual's smell in the sea of stink. It could be anyone.

 

Nas heard voices not too far away. slowly approached the area they came from. She was a tad nervous the sewer didn't give her much to work with if this was an enemy. "Who's there?"

 

Gemini recognized the voice as the other Summons. "It's us!" she called back, motioning Lanan and Sameire in Nas's direction. She stepped carefully, making sure not to trip over anything and fall into the stinking liquid. thank goodness they're here. If we jumped down here for nothing I doubt anyone would be happy.

 

Nas Relaxed a tad. "Just be quiet. They are trying to sleep." she said as she waited for them to approach.

 

Gemini nodded as they approched the group. She smiled to Sameire, "Maybe you should get some sleep before we do introductions?" she suggested in a low tone, guessing that she would be tired.

 

Ruby's claws retracted back into hands as she smiled. She could feel Lanan coming up.
Lanan nodded at Gemini, "Yeah, I am planning on-Oh, you were talking to the Princess..." he said, yawning and feeling a little stupid. "Oh well, I'm going to sleep when we get there. We can have our little tea party tomorrow." After a few more minutes of walking, he felt safer and knew Ruby was close. Is this the bond of a Summon? He wondered.

 

Eleanor stirred at the sound of the voices and sat up next to Tristan. "Hey," she began, putting her hand on his shoulder and squeezing it. "Someone's here."

 

Tristan sighed. He was hoping that they wouldn't wake her. "I know, but Nas went to check, so if they were bad people then they probably would be making more of a racket."

 

"Could they be back with your sister?" Eleanor yawned. "I was hoping they could take a little longer; I was actually sleeping rather well for being in this hellhole."

 

Tristan chuckled. "Wish I could say the same."

 

"You look worried," Eleanor began, frowning when she could see how tired Tristan still was. "Nightmares still, I'm guessing?"

 

Tristan shrugged. "Yeah you know. you have a nightmare then go back to sleep and then the nightmare picks up where it left off. Just that kind of thing." Tristan said without looking at Eleanor.
