"I'm sorry," Eleanor apologized, a little uncomfortable being as kind as she was so often. "I know you've got a lot on your mind and I can see how it's tough to sleep... Nas and I will have to drug you next time," she added with a smirk.

 

Tristan thought back to his dream of killing Eleanor. Forcing a simile on his face he said, "Perhaps that's not so bad an idea."

 

Eleanor returned the smile. "I wonder what's taking them so long? Are they really that far away from us?"

 

Ruby jumped up and addressed Tristan and Eleanor with her back to them, "It's Master Luna. I can sense him." She started dashing forward, not wanting to leave him alone with that rat of a Summon, but stopped, looking back at the two. Can't leave them behind...they're too weak. Massster Luna would not be pleasssed. She sat back down, not looking at them, cheerfully thinking of Tristan's skin being torn from his body by a certain snake-like Summon.

 

Alira reached the border of Baflee, she couldn't see any towns or people.

 

Azazel landed next to Alira. He wasn't fast enough to run on water and had flew over the lake instead. His wings retracted into his human shoulderblades, the flesh and bones shrinking and changing. They had just passed what used to be a forest and was now a portrait of ash, the corpse of a once beautiful forest. The sight had made him smile. He pulled out the map Ras'tepa had given him. "We're right at the edge of Baflee...there's a town named Quel to the south and another named Triwn to the east. Cheslidair, the capital, is past Quel." He thought for a second, "hmmm, the capital may be the best place to start. Let's go." He rolled up the map and marched away.

 

Alira had a though, "What if anyone sees us, do we take care of them, or if they get suspicous, I can silence them, is that alright with you sir?" she said, almost sure of his answer.

 

"As long as we stay in our human forms," Azazel started, "it's alright." He kept his eyes in their normal form, glowing yellow, but his body was that of a red-haired human. "However, if something does happen and someone needs to be taken care of, I'll leave the job to you, my loyal Alira." He smiled at the end, knowing her reaction.

 

Alira quickly blushed then turned back to normal, it wasn't often others, ecspecially Demons complamented her, it was even more in portant to her that it was Azazel. "Of- Of course sir, if anyone looks like they are onto us, they won't be onto anything after I have finished with them. She followed him.

 

Azazel turned his head to the side, hiding his smile. He could easily manipulate Alira. Loyalty was something he needed to make sure she had for him. "Good. That's why I'm proud to call you comrade," he said as a town came into view. That must be Quel.

 

"Tristan?" Sameire called out quietly. She moved slowly, not able to see much at all.

 

Gemini could tell Sameire couldn't see well so she gently pushed on her shoulders in the direction of Tristan and the others.

 

Tristan sat up from hearing Sameire's voice so it was them. He wasn't quite sure what to say. It had been such a long time. "I- I'm here." was all that he could think of.

 

Alira quickly blushed again, but turned back to normal as soon as she could. "That's Quel sir, it looks different since the last time I was here, maybe something happened here?" she said, it was as if something bad had happened here.

 

Eleanor stood up and helped Tristan to his feet as well.

"Why don't you go see her?" she whispered in his ear.

 

Tristan glaced towards Eleanor and nodded. Yes perhaps that would be for the best. Slowly Tristan walk in the direction that Sameire's voice came from.

 

Eleanor smiled lightly, though she kept her ears open, wishing she could see every member of the group heading back toward them in plain sight; she didn't trust him, and, as she watched Tristan walk, her fingertips went to the hilts of her daggers subconsciously.

 

"Tristan!" Joy burst through Sameire when she could see her brother's shadowed form. She bolted away from Gemini, nearly toppling over Tristan as she threw her arms around him. She never wanted to let go. Her voice broke slightly with tears as she spoke, "I missed you so much."

 

Azazel looked at the town in front of them, the ferocity of his eyes' glow increasing as his mouth curved into a smile. Corpses were rotting all over the place. They belonged to mostly humans, but he spotted a lot of Lizards and the occassional Leecher. Buildings were destroyed, the streets damaged. The town was left for dead. "It truly is a wondrous sight, is it not?" He asked Alira, slowly walking through the street. "I take it a battle happened here. Something fierce by the looks of it....but I cannot sense anything out of the ordinary. The source of that energy did not come from here."

"My liege," a voice behind Ras'tepa answered, causing the fake King to turn around.
He had been walking down the hall, exploring the castle that wasn't really his, lost in his thoughts. "What is it?" He asked the man in front of him. He was slightly smaller than most soldiers, his armor wasn't as heavy as theirs either. Ras'tepa knew it was because he was a messenger, not a soldier.
"We've gotten word from our soldiers in Edelsteen," replied the human, with a slight tremble in his voice. He was avoiding looking directly into the King's eyes.
"And?" The King asked impatiently.
"It seems someone has spotted Prince Tristan in Nentrion. He was accompannied by a female, her specific race is uncertain. They managed to defeat the soldiers that found them and escaped them." He let the news sink in before continuing, the King's face was turning angry, "HOWEVER, the gates closed shortly after and have just opened earlier this morning. They would not have had time to leave the town and if they did," he cleared his throat before continuing, "They wouldn't have gotten far."
"I see," Ras'tepa replied, digging through the King's memory for details on those two towns, "It shouldn't take long for the soldiers in Edelsteen to reach Nentrion. Send orders for them to go there as soon as possible!" He smiled as the human trembled when he raised his voice and then continued, "Any word on the Princess?"
The soldier shook his head.
Disappointed, Ras'tepa turned around and started walking. "Focus on the Prince for now, and then we'll worry about his foolish sister..."
Nodding to the back of the King's head, the messenger turned around and hurried down the hall.
"Tell me, Kingy," Ras'tepa thought and spoke at the same time, "Do you know what I'm planning to do with your son?"Leave my children be, you worthless parasite! The true King's voice echoed with fury in his mind.
Ras'tepa laughed outloud as he revealed his plan to the King's mind. He could feel Bryne's disgust and anger as he told him.

Lanan nodded towards Eleanor; Tristan would be too engrossed in his reunion with his sister to acknowledge him. He looked at Ruby who jumped up to greet him before stumbling. He raised his hand as she started rushing towards him, "Just tired," he smiled at her and sat down next to her, watching the embrace before him.

 

Tristan was a little taken aback by his sister's sudden rush towards him. He smiled slightly as he embraced her with his left arm. Images from his dream were still fresh in his mind. He found himself constantly distracted from the moment at hand. "I missed you too." he said softly. "I'm glad to see you safe."
