The world of Laifel

Ras'tepa saw a soldier ahead of him. He seemed to be looking for something. Ras'tepa becamed angered that the soldier wasn't doing anything productive. He should have him beheaded, "You!" He yelled at him. "What are you supposed to be doing right now?!"

 

"Sir, a girl called Alira told us to bring a girl to the castle. She said to tell you that quote "When this one reach;s its limit, this new one will be sitibale for you" unqoute sir" the soldier said. He looked nervous. "I will return to my squad and head back on to patrol" he aid as he turned and ran away.

 

"Well," Eleanor began when no one else spoke in response to Tristan. She was itching to get moving; standing around with idle conversation was not one of her strong suits. "The sun's practically up and this smell is killing me. Let's talk specifics: are we going to do this in one entire group or what?"

 

"First Lanan and Gemini will have to buy Eleanor, Sameire, and me hair dye and a new set of clothes. The clothes will need to look plain so we can fit in. Hooded cloaks would be nice too. Meanwhile, I want Ruby and Nas to scout the area together. We need to know how many of these slave markets there are. Depending on the amount, we may need to work in groups. Both Nas and Ruby will need to examine all of these places thoroughly. I want to know all about the layout; that will be crucial. I want you two back before midday. The rest of the day, we will spend for planning and preparations. Oh and Nas, You need to be on the look out for my special object."

"Yes master." Nas said grudgingly. She wasn't looking forward to working with Ruby.

 

Ras'tepa didn't say anything as he watched the soldier leave. She brought me a new host? He asked himself silently, only to be answered by Bryne.
Hm, it seems that female Demon brought you a new host. Would you let me go now, parasite? The King asked sarcastically, already knowing the answer.
Of course not, Kingy! We've become so close over time, haven't we? We're practically best friends! Ras'tepa thought, slightly sadistic as he rushed towards the dungeons.
Bryne laughed. I have to say, Parasite, even though I despise you and would like nothing more than to rip you to shreds with my bare hands, your sick sense of humor amuses me.Taken aback at the compliment, Ras'tepa nearly stumbled down the stairs he was on. I didn't think you'd be so quick to drop your anger towards me, Kingy, after I told you my plans for your son.
Serious again, the King replied, I have complete confidence that my son will defeat and kill you before you put your plan into action, even if it means killing me.
Ras'tepa said nothing as he stopped walking. He looked at a hanging mirror and stared at the face that wasn't his. The King's shoulder length dark-brown hair was thin. His face was pale and his eyes bloodshot with the pupils dilated. He wasn't sure how long the King's body could hold out. He knew the King was counting on his son's disgust towards him in order to kill him, but he might not last that long. Hm, maybe this girl could be of use to me after all....

Picking up pace, Azazel kept rushed through the town. He was moving faster than any human or fairrel could, but not fast enough to stick out. After all, he was in his human form. His smile turned into an evil grin. The town was a perfect scene of chaos. He wanted to make the rest of the mortal world like this.

Ruby nodded, narrowing her eyes at Naserrea with her arms crossed. "Tristan Dewn Lavon," She started as she looked towards Lanan, who's leg kicked in his sleep, "I will work with the rat you call a Summon and do as you ask, only when my Master orders me to. So would it not be a better idea for you mortals to rest as well?" She raised her eyes at the human, for once not showing any anger or hatred, but genuinely serious. "After all, if my master is to play a vital part in your little...operation, he should be awake for the planning." She looked towards Gemini and Sameire; they didn't seem to have much combat experience. Then to Tristan and Eleanor, who appeared to have seen a few battles in their lifetime. Then to Naserrea; she knew perfectly well about Naserrea's battle capabalities. She finally rested her eyes on Lanan again, reaching out to stroke his hair. He seemed to smile slightly when she did and an odd feeling rose in her stomach. Master Luna may not be a Demon, but he could handle mere mortals just fine. He survived against two Demons and a Summon clone. "Besides," She continued talking to Tristan, "You're all obviously tired. The cat can barely keep her eyes open. And I know full well you didn't sleep so peacefully."


The images in Lanan's head started taking forms. Colors became shapes, shapes became pictures, pictures became scenes, but it still seemed to be random memories, twisted into a sick dream just like the other dreams he's had. The first thing he saw was Azazel, but Azazel didn't seem to notice him. He was walking through the streets, his sword in hand and his eyes glowing with a golden ferocity. His skin was a dark red and his silver wings were folded, but he had a humanoid appearance. "Die!" He yelled with a smile as the town around him exploded into chaos. Fires ignited out of nowhere, people were burning and being ripped apart by shadows.
The shadows came into view and Lanan gasped. They were monstrous, hideously shaped and he knew right away they were Demons. Among the Demons, two human shaped figures noticed Lanan and moved closer. Withing a second, they were in front of him: Alira and Ekaf. Smiling a smile that almost made him vomit, Alira raised her sword and brought it down, only to have it blocked by a giant snake's tail. Before Lanan could react, the flames devoured the scene.

Opening his eyes, he looked up and saw his mother, smiling at him. He was laying down, staring at her, tears in his eyes. He was aware it was a dream now. He never could figure out why he dreamt so much of her. She died when he was just an infant, he barely remembered her. She reached out and stroked his hair, a gesture that he could phsyically feel. Her smile widened and he noticed her fangs, the ones he inherited. He tried smiling back as her image faded into nothingness and he was alone again.

Now he was surrounded by darkness. All of a sudden, colors flew past him and his dad's voice rang through the air. "Dad?" He asked, looking around. He couldn't make out what the voice was saying or where it was coming from. The colors around him turned to shapes again, this time they became silhouettes fighting each other. Some silhouettes were humanoid with wings and the others were monsters. "Demons and Angelens..." He whispered as his dad's voice started making sense. He was hearing the tale that his father had taught him about the War and was imagining the War as he did as a child. The Angelens seemed to be losing, until something happened. Vines tangled around the Demons and completely covered them as a beautiful woman slowly came into view. There was something about her, that he couldn't place, that was familiar. She then raised her hands, and the Demons disappeared, leaving nothing but vines falling into the nothingness. Rhon, Lanan's father, was next to him all of a sudden. He was sitting cross-legged, his head bowed and praying. The woman passed them without glancing and disappeared at the same time as the Angelens. His father was still praying, as if he was unaware of Lanan's presence. Lanan realized who the woman was: She was the goddess of nature. His dad's whole tribe prayed to her. The legend said that the War would have been lost if she didn't intervene. He stirred from his sleep, keeping his eyes closed. He tried tuning in to the conversation around him, but failed due to his dreams. He never believed in the War, never believed in Angelens or Demons, or even the goddess herself. But there was something about her that he couldn't remember that he KNEW was important. Before he knew it, he was asleep again. This time, he didn't have any dreams.

 

"I suppose a little rest would be a good idea. You all do seem tired." Tristan said while attempting to stifle a yawn of his own.

"And what about you?" Nas said quietly. There was a look of worry in her eyes. She knew that he didn't get any real sleep. Why wouldn't he just rest? Always acting tough like that would end up getting him killed.

Tristan didn't really feel like sleeping. So he ignored Nas' concern. "Oh, and Ruby," He said with a grin on his face. "Delay all you want. It doesn't really matter to me. After all, I know you'll obey in the end. Go on, girl, play your childish games. They merely amuse me. Your habit of pushing people away with your rude little attitude will only get you killed one day. After all, you're on the losing side to a war right now. If what Lanan says about these demons is true, then we are all on the losing side. Pushing away your allies will surely get you or your master killed. Personally I wouldn't mind getting rid of you, with the way you are now, but your master is a rare find. He's powerful and when it comes down to it, he's a good person. Shame you'll never be like him.

 

Ruby jumped up so fast that Lanan awoke, startled. The sound of flesh stretching accompanied her hiss as her claws and fangs formed. "Don't you dare talk down to me, human! I could rip your ssskin from bonesss without breaking a sssweat!"
"What's going on, Ruby?" Lanan asked, surprised.

Ignoring Lanan, she continued, "And don't think that RAT could ssstop me either! I gave you fair adviccce and you treat me like sssscum?!"
Lanan looked from Ruby to Tristan and back to Ruby. "Ruby, calm down," he said. But it wasn't an order, it was more of a request. He knew she could be violent, but this was actually scaring him.
Ruby's eyes darted to her Master and she shrunk back, keeping her claws and fangs out, baring them towards Tristan.

 

Tristan barely could suppress a smile, however, his brows did rise from amusement. Do it! said a tiny voice in his head. Provoke her. After all, why not? You're enjoying it, aren't you? Tristan's smile turned to a grin. What are you waiting for? DO IT! Or better yet, set your tool of War on her. Have Nas tear the flesh off her bones. Come on. Enjoy life a little.
"There's nothing wrong with insulting a tool of...." Tristan stopped in mid-sentence. His smile slowly faded from his face. He was confused. Why did he say that? She had done nothing wrong. What did she do to deserve such treatment? "I..." Looking away from Ruby. Tristan blinked his eyes a few times and shook his head. "I-I'm..." slowly Tristan looked back at Ruby. "Ruby? sorry... I.... I'm not sure why I said that. You didn't deserve that... you- I....." Again Tristan shook his head and stood up. "Excuse me, I need some time to myself for a while." Without another word Tristan walked away from the group and sat against a wall further down. What happened just then?

 

Eleanor folded her arms across her chest, narrowing her eyes. Her gaze followed Tristan, while her mind wondered why Nas hadn't immediately jumped to her master's defense at Ruby's harsh rebuttal.

He's been different ever since entering this hell of a town, she thought to herself. I'm perfectly capable of protecting him, but what about shielding him from the thoughts in his mind? Words like that come from a troubled conscious, and I don't know what to do there...

She clenched her fists tightly on her forearms, biting the inside of her lower lip. Why did he make her feel so useless, as if, with all her reputation and experience, this boy was such a challenge she couldn't meet?

 

Ruby was taken aback by the sudden apology and relaxed, turning completely human again. "My name is Rubira, you pathetic excuse for a Pr-" Lanan's hand on her shoulder cut her off. He shook his head and she nodded, turning around and sitting back down.
Lanan looked towards Tristan and walked towards him. He sat to his right, leaning against the wall with his knees in front of his chest. Resting his arms on his knees, he looked up. He stayed silent. He knew Tristan would say something if something needed to be said, otherwise, he was just there to be company.

 

Sameire followed her brother. She didn't at all like Ruby. Staying close to Tristan was a bit of comfort to herself, and to him to, she hoped.
"Tristan... I don't understand what's going on," She began as she sat next to him and rested her head on his shoulder. She didn't bring up the fact that her hair would be difficult to dye since it was black, and that she didn't like the idea of making it blond. "You've changed a lot... I'm worried about you. What happened to your smile? Your laugh?" She bit her lip. "I'm sorry... you probably don't want to talk right now. But there's something I need to tell you, so just listen.
Before I ran away, I talked with Dad. I've been doing research, and I found a book in the library that I had to translate. Tristan, it talked about that legendary war - but I guess it's real since you say that Nas is a summon. Anyway, from what I found in that book, I came up with a theory: Dad's not himself. Really not himself. At first, I thought it was a shape-shifter, but then it confessed right to my face. That's not our Dad, Tristan. It's something that's controlling him."

 

Jacob felt like he was being placed down, he could see the person and the jolt of being placed down woke him up. He got up slowly, for he felt woozy and his head hurt.

"I wouldn't get up if I were you, you are lucky to be alive, most people would have died from that attack." Katelyn said as she stood up and walked 3 feet looking away from him.

"Attack, what attack" he said as his memory came rushing back," My men where are they, and who are."

"Your men are over there looking for you,a dn I am Katelyn, your faithful Summon." she said

Max noticed Katelyn standing 200 feet from them, and said" I think Jacob is over there hurry" he said as he and his men started running towards Jacob's position.

John started funning faster, and used air to make him jump higher and whille over Zuiden, sent a 10 foot wide wall of air at him, and when he landed he was ready to collapse.

Sebastion saw John avoid the lizards and Zuiden, so he figured he was on their side. He'll be okayHe thought looking at Gregory. He then warped over to John and said" Need some help?"

 

OOC: Last time I checked, Sebastian was at the outer ends of the capital. I guess I'm going to have to hurt you hard, then. I'm not about to allow you to gather up all your characters in order to make yourself an invincible army. I'm tired of putting up with this in this rp. I allowed you too many characters. None of them have benefited the story. They are just there. and they just randomly appear where there's trouble, especially if one of your own characters are in trouble. Perhaps in Zelidar, you won't make the same mistakes with locations and everything else. Bottom line is, this is strike 3.

BIC: An ominous cloud hung over Jacob. Before he even noticed it, a bolt of lightning struck him in the chest. Jacob died instantly.
The bolt of lightening somehow managed to cause a tear in the space time continuum. This tear wiped Katelyn from existence.

Before Max knew what was going on, A bunch of rattle snakes came up and bit him and his companions. They all died from the poison.

A UFO flew out of the sky and vaporized Gregory with their lasers before zooming off into space. At the same time a meteor, the size of a fist, flew into and out of Sebastian's head. All the while, John watched the scene, dumbstruck. He took a step forward and slipped on a wet rock. the fall broke his spine and paralyzed him.

"A war?" Tristan whispered. Slowly he looked towards Lanan, remembering what he told him. He look away shortly and turned his gaze to his sis. "You said father was being controlled. What exactly happened when I was gone?"

Nas watched her master from afar. He called Rubira a tool. Was that the way he thought of her too?

As the sun began to brake the horizon, Hester awoke from a well needed nap. They made it through yet another night.

"Land ho!" Came the voice of the lookout.

Giving his eyes a rub, he stared into the distance. Sure enough, Sin Isle stood in the distance. "Anchor the ship and do prepare a row boat for me guests!" Ordered Hester.

"Aye-aye, Captain!" Cried the crew.

Hester nodded has he looked towards the vampire. "You do be setting off then. We be waiting right here."

"So then you're saying the that was the remains of one of the seals to the demonic realm?"

Zack stopped moving. Sebastian had just died. He could feel it. Slowly he nodded his head. He had just explained the situation to Danil Kellington. "That's correct."
What was he to do now? He needed to relay the bad news to Keal. Perhaps he should even ask the counsel to bring him a new subordinate.


OOC: Anyone want to make a new angelen of non angel class?

 

Zuiden watched John jump over him and didn't have enough time to react to the wall of air coming down when something hit him and knocked him back, out from under John's attack: Whisk's staff.
He nodded his gratitude towards Whisk and stood up, rushing towards John when the newcomwer was killed from a meteor. John then fell and after hearing a crack, Zuiden plunged his sickle into John's heart. "You Daxmas digust me," He spit at the Cylian.
"Well," Whisk started, walking behind Zuiden, suddenly calm as if the battle and death had never taken place, "That sure was something."
Pulling his blade out, Zuiden raised an eyebrow towars Whisk, "Awfully nonchalant after all this, aren't you?" But he was unsurprised. He was used to Whisk's apathy by now. "Let's go. We need to find Karchit." He said as he started walking back towards the camp.
Whisk chuckled as he followed, picking up his staff.

"Hm," was the only sound that came from Lanan's mouth. So the King isn't the real king? He thought, listening to the Princess. That explains why he's with the Demons....

"Proud of your oh so noble Master now, rat?" Ruby asked, sneaking behind Naserrea. "He's a real charmer, isn't he?"

 

"Hey," Eleanor snapped at Ruby, coming out of her thoughts a little more angrily then she intended. "Can we cut the crap with Nas, please? If you two have to work together, you'd best combine your talents, not spar against to each other and create more problems. And leave the insults of Tristan to a minimum as well, alright?"

 

Ruby smiled slyly. That was the first time she disliked Eleanor. "Excuse me, girl, but the noble prince insulted me first." She took a step towarsd Eleanor, "All I did was give him some helpful advice," Her voice dropped to a whisper, "But you're little infatuation with him is clouding your judgement, don't you think?"

 

Eleanor growled under her breath and folded her arms across her chest, clenching her hands into fists so as not to instinctively grab her dagger hilts.

"You know nothing," she muttered, her eyes on the floor.

 

Lauren was chained to a wall in the dungeon,she had tried to struggle free, but only hurt her wrists. She wondered what would happen now.

Alira walked around the town, gethering anything useful she could. There wasn't much here, let alone useful.

 

"Well," Sameire began slowly. "I didn't spend much time around him. I trained and stayed in the library most of the time. But... it was the little things that I really noticed. He stopped talking about Mom. He stopped coming to stay good-night and good dreams. But then I confronted him about, and what he said then just wasn't what Dad would say. After that, and after he told me that he wasn't Dad, he actually sent me to my room with guards."

"Of course," Aidou replied nonchalantly. "We won't be more than a hour."

Aduial adjusted her quiver on her back. She felt like apologizing, but there was still the return journey to make, so she said nothing and followed Aidou off the ship.

 

Tristan nodded as he took everything in. "That's all the more reason for me to take him down then."

Nas gave Rubira a cold look. "Shut your mouth before I kill you, you slithering filth." A wave of sewer water rose behind Nas.

Tristan's head snapped in Nas' direction. "Hey! What do you think you're doing Nas?"

"Teaching this worm a lesson." she replied coldly.

"Even though I did not give you permission? Do I need to dismiss you, Nas?"
